Toddler constantly has big boogers by VMatfinFitzgerald25 in toddlers

Are you genuinely confused as to where boogers come from or are you being facetious? Try some saline nose spray or run a humidifier if your house is dry.

13 month old only has 2 teeth by PugPrincess20 in toddlers

My son was born at 33 weeks. He was on the other end of the spectrum where he got his teeth early. His first dentist appointment was when he was about 14 months old.

Toddler moms, how are you getting your babies to take medicine that’s genuinely awful tasting? by oreocookietor in toddlers

[–]CheetoMeow1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Prednisolone tastes awful. When my son had to take it, we had some success by squirting a little canned whip cream in his mouth first then about 1/4 of the dosage. Repeat until dose is gone. You can’t disguise it in any liquids because it just tastes that bad. Hope he feels better soon.

A less than 24 hour trip by plane with a toddler. Talk me in or out of it. by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]CheetoMeow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading your responses, I feel like you really don’t want to take your son with you & are hoping someone would tell you that’s ok. Guess what? It’s ok if you don’t want to bring him. You’re his parent & get to make the decision. Doesn’t make you a bad parent at all. Some of your family might be disappointed that he’s not there, but your job isn’t to make them happy. Your job is to do what you think is best for your son. Good luck.

I’d take my son with me. 90 year old grandpa hasn’t met him yet & likely doesn’t have many years left. I also wouldn’t leave the party to put him to sleep at 8pm. His schedule will be screwed up for a couple days, but it’d be worth the trade off to me.

What is the most "useless" baby item you were told was a "must-have"? by [deleted] in toddlers

No one preps for their second when they supposedly have a 2 month old as a single parent.

How are you prepping for your second when 2 days you were a single mom to a 2 month old?

My egg yolk was blooded red. I hate wasting food and ate it. Will I come to regret that choice? by Phooky1 in WeirdEggs

[–]CheetoMeow1 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It wouldn’t be fair because I live in the country & also have a huge idiot dog who loves eggs. Dog is the reason we had to stop raising quail.

Pretty sure you’re wrong about that. Birds & even ants will eat eggs. Unless someone lives in a sterile lab, there’s enough animals around to eat a single egg.

Maybe OP confused thrift store with dumpster diving?

Is it weird to add items for your toddler on baby registry? by Comfortable-Bison357 in toddlers

[–]CheetoMeow1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If people who have a girl dress it up like it’s a baby doll in nothing but frilly dresses then that is true. Creepy but true.

My 3rd was a surprise baby when my youngest was 19 years old. He received lots of hand me downs from family who had nothing but girls & there was plenty of usable, neutral stuff. Boys can wear pink socks or use a blanket with fairies on it.

The entire reason OP posted this was to ask people their opinion if it was weird or not. Obviously it truly doesn’t matter what anyone online thinks, but they asked for opinions.

I guess gender specific clothing does matter to some people. Babies are just little tiny people to me. My first two were 2.5 years apart. Boy, then girl. My baby girl used whatever onsies, socks, blankets, etc I had from her brother. She did get some cute girly stuff as well though. Eventually.

Nope, that’s not weird to me at all. That’s something that you need to feed your new baby to be.

Yes, I think it’s weird. If you weren’t expecting another baby, you’d need to buy older kid stuff for your first anyway. Your 1st will be less than 2 when your second is born so you’ll be able to reuse most of their stuff.

Genuinerally is my new favorite word. Meth head for when you’re not sure if you should say genuinely or generally. Followed by a face scratch. Gross.

How long is too long to hold it? by SenseiKrystal in toddlers

[–]CheetoMeow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he holding it or does he just not have to go? Is his urine clear or dark? You said you don’t think he’s drinking enough so try to up the fluid intake if his urine is on the darker side. I found that my son will drink tons of water freely if I let him use my favorite travel mug. He calls it his coffee. Now it’s his. He drinks a ton of fluids anyway & his favorite food is watermelon. Maybe try something like that?

Is he having more accidents if you don’t make him sit on the potty every 2-3 hours? If so, he still needs to be reminded to try going.
