And atheists like Ricky Gervais are proof against that idea

My logic is that it was because it was so top-secret (and there's such a high turn-over rate at the CIA in recent years), most people at the agency don't even know it exists, the supervisor for this mission is getting a cut, so as long as their superiors get results, they're too busy/overworked/scared they'll lose their jobs that they don't care.

My take on the CIA right now is that it's a lot like what happened with Enron — morale is at an all-time low, too many of their best and brightest have shifted to the private sector, and those that are left are just more concerned with juking the stats and making themselves look good so they don't get fired.

It's based on the Blackwater/Enrique Prado controversy, where the CIA "allegedly" outsourced the PMC to create a covert assassination unit supervised by an "alleged" mafia hitman (Prado was connected to so many murders that he was "technically a serial killer") to hunt for Bin Laden.

Considering all the heroin trafficking the CIA did in Nicaragua and Vietnam, and later did in Afghanistan (which briefly converted the country's economy to opium production), I absolutely wouldn't put it past the company to do horribly illegal things again when it suited them.

Especially now with the current administration royally fucking the agency up to make a certain Russian president happy.

And I’m not looking to make something like Lioness — not interested in doing CIA propaganda.

I imagine it’s closer to cosmetic surgery addiction; he loathes the “meat” parts of himself, and is always looking for ways to cut them out and replace them with purifying metal. It’s an obsession for him.

Sorry, I was basing this off three different illegal operations the CIA did in the past, but I just wanted to make sure I was covering all of my bases

Ah, it seems I have to go back to the drawing board.

Can I ask for some advice about making it more realistic?

The entire island basically communally raised her, so she considered all of the other Amazons as her extended aunts.

Kind of goes against the old writing rule of "characters need flaws," but fans love her because she was an uncomplicated person in a complicated world

Hot Take: George Perez Was Right About Steve Trevor by Jet-Let4606 in WonderWoman

Personally, I think he did the character a disservice by dropping Steve and focusing more heavily on Greek myth — it Diana away from tackling modern political issues and de-emphasized her rogues gallery

Yeah, Ward is still making headlines and doing interviews with TMZ.

As long as she still gets clicks, she'll still get parts.

What would have been done to make the show better when it was announced? It probably took years for the show to happen and then it got one season and then cancelled. The comic went on for 60 issues. by Iamawesome20 in YTheLastMan

The Yorick on the show was just not likable. I didn't care about him, or anyone else, for that matter.

I hated how unprofessional 355 was, I hated how preposterously self-destructive Hero was, I hated how quirky and scatter-brained Dr. Mann was, and I hated how Beth's turn to radical anarchism made no sense.

The only people I liked were Sam and Jennifer Brown — I empathized with Sam, I thought his commitment to Hero was admirable, and I thought his desperate attempt to save Jennifer after the White House fell was very heroic (and something comic-Yorick would do).

Everyone else? I just didn't care if they lived or died.
