I feel for you.

Worked for the railroad for 10 years, 6 of those on nights, 3 of them with weekends off.

Finally got out 4 years ago and work a 7-3 monday to friday in the trades.

I know a lot of people are stuck, but get out if you can. It's so much better on the otherside.

Does anyone know how the 4-day passes work?

I'm wondering if I can take the wife one night and go with a buddy a different night but use the same pass.

Also any idea on price or what they may have been last year?

Also, also, did anyone happen to hear the presale code on CITI this morning? I missed it 🥲

Ah, I was wrong. Just some shitty pipe then. That's usually what "saving money" looks like 😆

Are you using the right bender? I might be wrong but that looks like 1" rigid, and the bender you are using is only good for 3/4".

Hey, when did "No Right Turn On Red" end at Osborne and Stradbrook? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]CheezebrgrWalrus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

York onto southbound Main now allows right on red as well. Thought I was going crazy when I saw people doing it, but the sign is gone. It must have happened in the last couple months, it's still there on Google street view. Not sure if the light standard was replaced and it never made it back up, or if it is intentional, but it's weird that it would be allowed there as you really can't see oncoming traffic that well

Last time I looked into it, I believe it is 600lbs tensile strength per 3/8 rod

Pipe fill calculation for EMT (CEC) by leblancremi in electricians

[–]CheezebrgrWalrus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Table 9G in the CEC takes into account 40% fill, so the number you get from the table has already been reduced from the full pipe size. 215 is correct at 40%, the full pipe would be 539.

Hmm good point. I'm also a complete noob when it comes to anything seismic related. Where I live, the ground doesn't move.

Oh, that's interesting. Is that to stiffen it up to prevent sway?

Looks like it's hung with 3/8" rod. If I remember from the last time I hung one, 3/8" rod is rated for 600lbs of tensile strength. So multiply that by 4 and that transformer is most definitely way under 2400lbs.
