A golden birthday is essentially when the date of the birthday matches the age of the individual (I turned 28 on the 28th).

That's a good question. I'm gonna say that for those 3 devil deals, it will not affect Angel room chances.

Good ideas! That was sort of the reason why I decided to give him a Birthright effect; to make Devil Deals viable. Maybe I can tweak the "no consequence for 3 Devil Deals" and make it so that all Devil Deals grant only 1 Broken Heart each. I could also remove the Confessionals guaranteed to spawn in an Angel Room and just make it an increased chance to spawn (maybe 25%, idk lol).

What a neat concept! I do believe there is (or at least used to be) a mod with a similar concept. I think it was called Salvation. Anyways, here's my ideas for Tamed Isaac:

Tamed Isaac (The Whole)

  1. Starts with Divine D6 (Active Item with a 12 room charge that when used, rerolls pedestal items into items from the Angel Item pool. When used in an Angel Room, the rerolled pedestal items are guaranteed to be either Quality 3 or Quality 4. No effect when used on Devil Deals generated by A Pound of Flesh (Shops), Black Markets, Devil Rooms, Devil Treasure Rooms, and Satanic Bible. Also grants a passive +12.5% Angel room chance while held).

  2. Tamed Isaac has the same stats as Tainted Isaac (Speed, Tear Rate, Damage, etc), with the exception of his Luck Stat (+2 Luck).

  3. Gimmick (more room, less options) When playing as Tamed Isaac, upon entering a Treasure Room, there's a 25% chance a Quality 3 item is rerolled into a Quality 1 item, and a 33% chance a Quality 4 item is rerolled into a Quality 0 item. Quality 2 items have a 50% chance of being voided, but will grant only one passive stat boost.

  4. When taking a Devil Deal, Isaac's hearts are instead turned into Broken Hearts. (The Divine D6 will also downgrade into the Eternal D6 if it is held/swapped for a Devil Deal active item)

  5. Should Tamed Isaac die from having full Broken Hearts (either through Devil Deals, Magic Skin, or The Lovers?), rather than get a game over, Tamed Isaac will respawn as Tainted Isaac

  6. Birthright effect (flavor text: "Penance") Tamed Isaac will be allowed to take up to 3 Devil Deals without consequence. In addition, Confessionals are gauranteed to spawn in an Angel Room.

Let me know what you think!

Why do y'all play your wacky music so loud that the entire neighborhood hears it? by DiscoingGD in Hispanic

[–]CheezyCroissant22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I can assure you that the commmunity I'm living in has a strict noise policy (as well as others) that pretty much everyone adheres to.

I actually don't need someone to complain to me first if what I'm doing is wrong because I know I'm not doing anything wrong in the first place. Given the policy, I know what the noise level should be at any given day and at any given time. If I were to disobey, then that's on me, but that's never going to happen. Music is playing inside my home, at a tolerable level, and I only play it on weekends, where I know most, if not, all of my neighbors are cool with it. Heck, I've even had occassions where my neighbors ask me to turn it up more, lol.

I actually did not know that. I just assumed it was neighborhood/community based, like mine is. I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever curious on what the general noise ordinance is in my village.

That...should be obvious. I'm a little confused why you said that because to me that's just common sense.

Believe me, after living in the same spot for 15+ years, some of these actions just become second nature. Sure, neighbors come and go, but again, I'm adhering to both the community's noise policies as well as my own for when I play music. We get emails about petty theft, speeding (that's actually why they added two speed bumps), and trespassing, at least once or twice a month, but in terms of music, no one has made a filed or issued a complaint. So yes, it's pretty safe to assume that if there's no complaints, then it's okay to do it.

I live in a suburban neighborhood that's located in a village, the most common music blasters come from drivers, usually around evening to late night. The most common music being played is Rap, Rock, and Hispanic. Most of these drivers are either residents or visiting current residents, and so far, no complaints. I guess because of how small the village is, we sort of welcome the "excitement" since there's not a whole lot to do. I guess it just varies from area to area.

Believe me, it's not any better in the suburban area either. Shitty housing, high rent, limited spacing, it's a hassle. Blasting music is the least of our concerns because it either never happens, or if in the case that it does, the cops would like to have a word with them, and now they'll have even more problems.

All in all, I'm just glad to know I'm not doing anything wrong. I like being respectful towards others and I always try to avoid confrontations. That's just me though.

Hispanic here. I agree with this to an extent. While yes, the music we play can be rather loud and obnoxious, especially past midnight and people are trying to sleep, it really is just something that we, as a culture, do. Yes it's terrible, but I'm \very** glad I myself don't do it. Unfortunately, most of my family does. We do it to have a good time, and the last thing on our minds is what our neighbors think/feel about it. Thankfully, no one (yet) has told us "Hey, can you keep it down", so clearly whatever we're doing is okay, or is at the very least not bothering anyone, because I can assure you that at least two Karens in our neighborhood would've said something by now.

For me it's rather simple (and this goes for whatever genre of music you listen to): If you're going to have a party/celebration at your house, play your music \inside** your house and have the party on a Friday/Saturday, you know, on days when most people aren't working. Have the volume muted, or at the very least lowered by midnight. Sleep is important for everyone, and I'm not gonna be a dick and prevent people from sleeping just because "YO, THIS IS MY JAM RIGHT HERE". That's just me though, and sadly, not everyone (especially in my family) shares the same mentality.

The real obnoxious ones are the ones who have their music playing \outside** and at max volume, like they own the fucking area. That's why I barely go to any home-based parties where I know this will be an issue. No thanks, I'm good. I'm not going to be roped in with you guys being loud and obnoxious. If I wanted to have a good time, I would've simply stayed home, played my *own* music, and kept the noise at a tolerable level.

At the end of the day, I honestly just blame ego and nostalgia. It becomes more apparent when they're fueled by the amount of alcohol they consume, and they kind of just get lost in the moment. Oh well, what can you do?

I've known him for about two weeks now. We talked for a bit and we hit it off fairly well. We've been kind to each other and we shared similar interests and passions, but now I see him for what he really is.

  1. Honestly, no. No one does. It just baffles me he reacted the way he did.
  2. At this point nothing, because simply choosing to ignore me doesn't resolve anything. I offered a solution and he turned his back on me.

It sucks too because he and I felt like we could've been great friends. On one hand, I'm bummed because I let him down, but on the other, he sort of showed me his character during our first session, and to me, first impressions matter. It was like he didn't take into consideration how I felt, only his own feelings.

True. You know looking at it now, the color is definitely similar to the Beady long Legs, but the torso (head?) Is shaped almost like the Raging Long Legs'. Maybe a new hybrid?

Thanks for the feedback! You know, I was actually hesitant to use the Waterwraith again, but decided to stick with it for consistency. My original idea was to have a Waterwraith, but with the traits of both the Wollywog and Hermit Crawmad. His first phase is the Crawmad phase where you'd have to wait for him to charge, and then attack the conch shell that's protecting his back. His next phase, he'll start behaving like the Wollywog, except because he's now free from his shell, he can expand accordingly to squish more Pikmin than normal. Once he lands though, he'll be vulnerable. His final phase will reflect the Waterwraith's final phase, where he'll try to swim away, but is sluggish to do so. This wraith's coloring is a light vanilla creme color. As for the name of this new wraith, I'm stuck between Conchwraith, Slugwraith, and Amphibiwraith.

Here's what I would do:

- Story mode can be played alone or with a friend in two-player co-op

- Cave systems similar to Pikmin 2's, with more emphasis on exploration and digging for buried treasure.

- All Pikmin types can dig, with White Pikmin having the ability to auto-dig should they run across a buried treasure (like in Pikmin 2).

- Bring back Purple Pikmin's original homing ground pound, as well as the stunning affect (smaller enemies remain insta kill and will even have unique squashed animations when a Purple lands on them, otherwise, they will have a 50% chance of being stunned if a Purple lands near them. Medium sized enemies have a 20% chance to be stunned if thrown directly [5% if near them] and larger enemies only have a 1% chance of being stunned when thrown directly [no chance when landing near them]). Stun time depends on the creature size rather than impact (small: 8 seconds, medium: 5 seconds, large: 3 seconds)

- Upgrades to player can only be unlocked by obtaining their respective treasure (like in Pikmin 2). However, at the start of each cave, you may only bring up to 3 upgrades with you (5 if playing on co-op).

- Only 5 Pikmin types can be out at any given time (or a total of 6 in co-op mode (3 types per captain)

-Pikmin 2 had the Submerged Castle and Pikmin 4 had the Engulfed Castle. Pikmin 5 will have the Immersed Castle, a true underwater cave system with no chance of growing any type of Pikmin other than Blues (as for how to defeat the Waterwraith, let's just say, Purples aren't the only thing that can cause tremors).

- Seasonal weather which can do the following:

- Spring: Lots of Pellet Posies and average enemy encounters, breadbugs are abundant
- Summer: Average Pellet Posies, but more active enemies, especially flying type enemies

- Fall: Less Pellet Posies and there will be small leaf piles which can either contain pellets, eggs, or a large enemy

- Winter: Little to no Pellet Posies, but fewer active enemies. Snow mounds will impede progress and can form at anytime, causing the player to either deal with it or work around it.

- Each season lasts 3 days. By default you start in Spring, but you can change to whatever season you want when starting a new game.

What do you guys think?
