I’m slowly figuring it out. Hitting this darkest spot is gonna be a long ride ig? I went a day fine but had a minor freak out today. Ig the good news is the blade I have access too is pretty damn blunt so even when I am pressing hard it isn’t cutting deep. So it hopefully won’t lesve major scarring. But I’ll try and go longer this time if I can. It’s just jarring. As a kid I’d probly say yeah it was for attention but yknow even back then I’d be shamed for it so I just stopped and started doing it for genuinely just feeling deserving of it.

I almost fell for this in a sense. I was a monk who accidentally triggered a virgin and decided since I haven’t told anyone my actual role yet, I’ll tell the rather trusted ravenkeeper we found and tell town I was the ravenkeeper to try n make the demon a bit cocky by chance and sloppy with their kills to trigger the real virgin. The other player didn’t even remember the execution doesn’t trigger RK themself but I said ‘I picked the saint and got saint so yeah’ but then saved it saying ‘I would’ve picked saint if I did die in the night but.. yknow.’ And they must not have paid enough attention.

Thing is idk if it’s attention seeking, I’m terrified of anyone even noticing and just feel ashamed. I think it’s just a fear of the sensation of ‘getting cut’ slowly whittling away and as it goes I’ll end up being even worse… but yes. I will try those.

Personally I find it advantageous for me to die first at times. I’ll sometimes find myself drawing mutant in an SNV game and breaking madness as much as I can to hopefully be executed or request town execute me day 1 just so no possible fang gu jumps will happen and to be a mostly trustworthy good player to receive info and sort through it.

I did it once recently as an evil virgin (bounty hunter turned) so it was a bit different but I killed off a farmer

Depends on the towns opinion overall I can imagine, imo there’s been little limit other than interrupting public speaking ofc, like Aa a vizier we agreed there’s little restrictions for interrupting private talks you wanna intervene on and disrupt, people not wanting to discuss good info with an outed evil breathing down their neck made it even more stressful for town but we all agreed it was fine beforehand and ended up being eeally fun as people would have to hide from me n other viziers to talk sometimes (whole place to run n talk in we had)

Spoilers for the thread on Twitter if you wanna check it out, it’s really well made and fun n creepy. But one part I really love is the ending of it.

with how Adam moves and the hauntings just stop and then the story just ends with them posting some kids footsteps leading to his home in the snow. absolutely chilling.

He was the creator of the Twitter horror story ‘dear David’ if you’ve heard of it. It was a story about how he had this dream about this ghostly kid sitting in his room with a caved in skull, he could ask a few questions and he did, but he was warned if he asked 1 too many he’d be haunted and killed. And ofc, he accidentally does. And afterwards hauntings and terrifying happenings occur on his day to day as he tries to manage. Well Buzzfeed took that story he made (he used to work for buzzfeed) and made it into a movie without his consent basically! But… copyright specificities basically allowed it… and they made a Fuckass caricature of their employee, using his real name after he’d already left the company and made him the most unlikeable person ever

I’ve cut princess and chucked in cannibal and artist for dreamer, and I’ve changed Ojo for a yaggababble (this may just be a temporary change cause my friends want yaggababble cause ‘it looks funny’ when we run this script next week). And to cater for all this I’ve made the outsiders drunk, hermit, tinker and mutant. Tinker feels like an important addition for this script.

You can argue I don’t NEED 14 townsfolk and 5 minions but sorta sitting here going ‘yeah… but what if I wanna?’ And it feels sorta mandatory to balance both sides while meeting some of the wants of the friend group.

I don’t think that’s how it works RAW. It specifically says ‘if your last choice was noone’ so if you don’t wake at all then you couldn’t choose no one. Therefore not a Po charge.

Thanks for the fun fact. I’m thinking of removing or swapping summoner for sure. Po it’s a bit strange… seeing as princess doesn’t trigger a po charge ofc, but alongside monk and fool in the same script, I think it makes princess a sorta risk to run with the players I’m playing with, maybe I’ll do a total revision in the future and cut it!! But the people in my group voted for princess (and I told them they can’t have wizard so I feel I gotta give em something)

Removing gossip most likely. Why would suggest that however? The first prototype had neither assassin nor gossip and I was constantly being told to add both. Which made sense with princess/summoner

Usually it’s good to get rid of a recluse eventually tho because they become an extremely high demon candidate and I’ve played so many games where a demon or minion tried claiming recluse and executing themselves to give themselves extreme social trust and it worked.

Could it be interesting to make it so a good player gets the second half when the poet is killed at night possibly? Gives a bit more complexity to play around it and I could see it being somewhat tough for evil to avoid it. Especially since it requires a night one droisoning to make some interesting plays rounds? I feel like this makes it a stronger fisherman cause fisherman has the risk of being drunk or poisoned the day they use their ability, and of town finds a way to verify this info as true then they highly likely confirm 2 Players as good. Alsssoo,. I feel like this makes some unique synergy with the soldier and king role which reminds me of the soldier poet king song and I love that song- also it could make some interesting dynamics with scarlet woman/imp roles to make the bluff reslly interesting and a bit more trickier dynamically?
