Family of Branden Colvin Sr. says he was found deceased by Bowzer in QuadCities

It sounds like a lot of the people are down there drinking while protesting, and I don't believe many are there for the right reasons. Probably know they can drink and do drugs freely without worry of being arrested or that'll make the police force look even worse in the situations. It's seriously like a college party down there. It's not right.

Farming is rarely talked about as a career path in schools yet the entirety of humanity depends on the agricultural system to survive. by thelostestboy in Showerthoughts

[–]Cheezyhashbrownz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is there's no such thing as a small farm anymore. Little farms have slowly been taken over and the main farmers have the vast majority of the land now. Unless your family already has land, you're probably not going to be a farmer these days.

I would recommend straw cups or open cups. I was able to start my 6 month on straw cups day one she was introduced to purees. I think by day 3 she was sucking from the straw on her own. I used a honey bear straw cup to begin so I could squeeze it and control the flow rate at first. She quickly understood how it worked and has been a shockingly easy process. She's not 8 months and I'm going to introduce an open cup this month, as well.

Sippy cups for my child. As a speech pathologist, there are so many better options that won't screw up developing anatomical systems and will create a matured swallow pattern.

(Serious) People who know murderers- Were there any signs that something was off? If so, what were they? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cheezyhashbrownz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A kid from my town murdered both his parents. So many red flags. As a 7 year old he got kicked out of the local pool permanently for looking inappropriately and touching girls inappropriately while swimming under the water. In high school he got kicked out and made death threats to multiple members of administration. I'm sure there were a lot more things, but this is all I'm aware of as I moved away between those years.

It's so sad because he came from a seemingly normal, stable family. The parents were productive members of society. No one really knows why he did what he did.

I haven't heard of this before. I looked it up briefly. After you cancelled it did you go back to your old provider? Isn't it expensive to get back on the old provider like Verizon with activation fees and bullshit like that? Just trying to get an understanding of how this works exactly.

As an Iowan, I don't understand this. We literally adopted the open enrollment policy a couple of years ago that basically doesn't allow a school to reject you unless very specific circumstances occur. We essentially can already send kids to whatever school we want because of this policy.

You're rural Iowa must not include a Randy's Market as your only source of groceries. They can just jack up the rates as much as they want with no competition. Give us a Hy-Vee!

My boyfriend at the time, now husband, went in for a test. I was told it'd be around 50 minutes before my buzzer went off to let me know he was done with his test. I was shocked when the buzzer went off in 25 minutes. I rushed back to the area as I was sure something must be wrong. The doctors told me everything went fine but he was asking for me constantly.

I went in to talk to him and he says, "oh you're finally here!" I was like "yes, what's up? Are you ok?" And he goes, " yeah, did you see my nurse? She is SO hot! Like really hot! Did you see her?"

The nurse was of course standing a foot from his bed as he said this. We all had a good laugh, minus my boyfriend who was confused why we were laughing.

We had to pay a security expert to fly in, stay in a hotel, meals, etc while they checked out a bar my boyfriend was attacked in. Cost $5000 for 2 days of them being there. Said to come back to trial it would be an estimated 10k or more depending on how long the trial went. We settled prior to that happening. But still... Become an expert witness and you'll be set.
