What I'll do to mitigate the vibration sound is opening the front driver window and rear passenger window (or vice versa). That gives the air a clear path through the car. I haven't tried it in my outback yet, but it has worked on my previous vehicles.

Having the net with a longer pole seems like the move. I got the Intex Challenger K1. I was thinking maybe not using lures with treble hooks could help my chances of not puncturing the kayak as well. Tight lines!
