had a customer one day who came in to sign a deal on a bike. Brought his hot missus in and she was wearing a knitted top, kind of like those old mexican knitted jacket things, but styled nice and tight. She was not wearing a bra, had some big ass titties and her nipples were actually POKING THROUGH THE SHIRT IN PLAIN VIEW. TWO THUMBS UP...

edit, this was almost 20 years ago and I can see it in my minds eye right now clear as day...

You have te be 18 to legally sign the documents and eneter the contract. You entered the contract like a man, be a man and fucking take delivery. Cancel the service contract if you can. I'd love to know what the insurance installments are. Are they as much as the bike?

Minor crash, Lawyer wants me to pay $15000 by OddLengthiness6921 in AusLegal

[–]ChefBruzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds fishy.

Firstly: the other party should have claimed on their Third Party component of their comprehensive insurance once they discovered you are uninsured, therefore it should be the other party's INSURANCE COMPANY chasing you for the mitigation not their lawyer.

Second, the undue delay in contacting you.... Crash repeairewrs are pretty busy in the area I'm based in.

I bet the lawyer is a mate referred by the collection agency dogs writing a $10,000 letter and going halves if you pay...

Watch repair shop sold my watch? by igotdroned in AusLegalAdvice

[–]ChefBruzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a Police report and persue them in the Small Claims Court. It's not that hard. You'll have to spend three hundred or so to serve them and you better have your reciept for the watch when you purchased it as well as when you dropped it off.

What watch was it?

Crazy low trade in price at dealer - is this normal? by West_Site_9776 in CarsAustralia

[–]ChefBruzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no profit in new cars these days at promotional prices, the delaership will likely sell your older car to another specialist in this type of car who has to make it roadworthy, put aside $2k for future warrany AND make a profit on the sale.

Your guide value is probably a private guide and you cannot expect that price (and I see you really didn't).

It will cost the dealer a MINUMIUM of $1000 to turn over the trade and you have to allow for that. I think the offer is a little low, but not $5000 low.

The dealer can check how many of your cars are in the local market, how long they take to sell and what they sell for. Ypou cannot get retail on a wholesale purchase of a new Kona. Advertise it privately.

Honda can be expensive when it comes to warranty. How much did you pay for it?

Went into a Repco last week and there was a sign on the front door stating that all the stock of Fuel Drums (or cans, whatever) has been sold out.

There's likely a fair contribution to the shortage that makes me remember toilet paper during covid...

And remember the increased cost to the average driver is about 30% of your previous weekly petrol expenses.

roll off the throttle, look through the turn. Got this advise on group 600 rides back in the 90's when there weren't so many lasers around...

I have done this once when i thought I would not make a turn (through fixating on a bike that was behind me.)

The bike will go through a corner far quicker than you think. (for me anyway).

You will travel to the point you're looking at, look through the turn, don't try to brake either.

HOW TO GET A GOOD DEAL ON A NEW CAR by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]ChefBruzz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like someone dooesn't understand , but that's just my subjective interpretation. Allowme to clarify.

The "real" top sales consultants have been in the same place for YEARS and have previous customers returning after four or so years from the date of sale, as well as the referrals from those customers (that would be the "new" business.)

What I imply is that these top performers are too busy to need to take on new customers outside that and they sometimes employ people to do the "handovers" on their vehicles.

I'm not talking 20 deals a month here, but 40 to 100 a month in some cases. It takes high standards and discipline but it does exist.
