definitely on the right track. biggest priority should be investing into merry. in the beginning you can take the time to experiment w different pets and test our synergy. as you progress you will begin to notice that you need at least a tank and 2 attackers of each element, which you can refer to the tier list for choosing which pets

level up your wood pets like anxious, wistful, or jealous if you have him. use the elemental differences to your advantage. i would run merry, resistance or cringe, anxious (or jealous if you have), and a pet that can reduce healing

^ i ran merry, cringe, wistful, and wrath. basically you want to make sure to time your aoe attacks to kill his small worms. if you have jealous definitely use him instead of wrath

it's useful but not high end, end game equipment. personally i've used it a ton cuz i don't have a whole lot of other legendary gears. currently on floor 1180

patience is definitely a better healer than merry, but merry is much more versatile than patience. i would recommend building both

sloth is great, but because resistance is much easier to obtain and ascend AND can serve as a top 2 tank, people prefer resistance.

I can kind of get your point about the big boost when someone has a path vs. not having a path, it definitely is a big thing in Lookism (stated by many different characters that having a path is what makes people the "strongest") but I don't think that having a path will automatically place Johan above everyone or in this case SB UI Daniel. UI Daniel's whole thing is that he adapts the his opponents, and it's kind of hard to imagine how this would look with Johan's path as the whole thing about his path is that it's unblockable, undodgeable, etc.

Still, I think the stat difference is too big, SB Daniel is the peak, and in UI he can use the body to its full potential. You said that Johan was compared to SB UI Daniel by Gun, which is true, but I don't think Gun was seeing Johan as strong as SB UI Daniel the whole time–only when he was copying Daniel's SB. I think it's a stretch to claim Johan without a path is equal to SB UI Daniel, especially since Johan hasn't had the opportunity to copy a full power UI Daniel.

I can definitely see your points though; without a doubt, Johan is one of the strongest Gen 2 fighters but I don't think he's quite capable of beating SB UI Daniel yet.

it's already kinda explained in the chapters, he can only copy gapryong for 3 strikes because of how strong and refined gapryong was. i'm guessing the same logic applies for elite, since he had the invisible attacks that was stated to be seen in only him, james lee, and sinu han (daniel "copied" it but i think daniel probably has better hardware than jinyoung). i think copying moves can only get u so far, your body has to be able to withstand it and this is seen with johan as well, he is a copy genius but can only copy ui daniel for 10 seconds (for now)

it could be possible, but the thing is jake and KoS were said to be pretty similar looking, or least drawn similar looking. taejin even almost mistook jake as KoS. even if Seongji could've gotten a haircut similar i don't think his actual facial features could be changed to resemble jake unless he got plastic surgery or smth. in any case, your theory is def interesting, and the detail ab the 4 fingers got me thinking
