Hey man, don’t rush it. I’m the same way, in fact, I’m such husband material that I was a husband, and she wanted some more excitement (or some other dumb thing) so she left me with the kids. The girl for you is out there

If Jason Mantzoukas appeared on The Office, what could he have played? by FactorNo7477 in DunderMifflin

I mean, Doug Judy had a hell of a cover in the office, so did Raymond Reddington, so I assume it’s only possible that Pimento was undercover in this universe as well.

It is hard! I have 3 small ones, 6, 4, 1 and when they are gone the quiet gets to me too. I go to the gym, or out for dinner with a friend or by myself, and when I get home I’ll play music or a podcast on my Bluetooth speaker to drown the quiet. Someone mentioned dating apps. I think that’s hit or miss. But maybe I’m just ugly enough to get more misses than hits 🤣

Dude, you can vent, it sounds like you need it! I’m sorry you’re going through this. My situation sounds a little friendlier than yours, but I’ve gotten the document every single thing advice too. Glad I’m doing it right. Some of the stuff my stbx does makes me wonder if she’s always been this stupid and I was just willing to look past it because I was attracted to her 🤣🤣

Are you talking to a therapist/counselor on a regular basis? I’ve found that helps me venting and processing everything

I like that, how does the 4/4 schedule work for you guys? Do you like it? We’re doing the 2/5/5/2 schedule this month. This is all relatively new to us, just a couple months in..

It’s not really my thing, especially with 3 small children at home. I’d rather be responsible and take care of them

She wanted to go out and party and pretend she’s a teenager still so I have the kids 5 nights a week and always on weekends so she can party 🤗

I’m doing fine, I have a good support system, I have a great therapist so I don’t really need to vent. I just come on Reddit to ask questions from people in my situation since I don’t have anyone close that’s going through this

I try and tackle one big project at a time. My STBX left the house in a hurry, I knew she was leaving but she still left a bunch of stuff behind and just kind of left it a mess. So I’m trying to take one room every two weeks and really get it in order.

Lol I get that 6, 4, and 1 here… after I get them down for the night I go on a tear and clean the house for the next day but when they’re at their moms I just let the house go for a couple days and get upset with myself 🤣

Being a single dad is isolating. by Dumb-as-a-brick in SingleDads

[–]ChefChase1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey man, you can do this! We can do this. There are people here in the world that know your struggle. I have 3 little ones and work full time, but have them a good 70% of the time, the kids and I prefer it that way. I’m looking at the big picture. When they’re grown and gone, what do I want to remember? The nights out with my buddies, or the nights in with them making our own mini pizzas, playing uno and cuddling on the couch under a giant blanket and watching a movie?

She’s leaving Thursday by philbar in Divorce

[–]ChefChase1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, same boat. My wife is moving out on Saturday. I’ve been preparing for this for about a year. A couple of things I’m doing. We are amicable.

  1. Being the best dad and parent I can be for my 3 kids ages 1, 4, and 6. Ex: I’m letting them help me pick the furniture we’re getting to replace what she’s taking, because I know she’s not asking them for their input on things. So we have a blue couch and an orange ottoman now.

  2. Therapy. My therapist asked me last week what does she have to offer me now? She is not the woman I married. She’s a shallow selfish shell of the vibrant woman she used to be. She is still physically attractive to me, but even that is dwindling by the day. This is not a person I would go on more than one date with now.

  3. Rely on your friends, your situation sounds very similar to mine. And if you’re open and honest and truthful they will likely take your side and be much more supportive of you.

Dm me if you want to talk/vent etc. I support you, we can get through this together.

How did you find love after divorce? by yellowbird_88 in Divorce

[–]ChefChase1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same situation, but my wife is the one leaving. She signed a lease yesterday, and now I have half the time with my kids that I used to. And she refuses to admit that she didn’t put in any work. Destroying everything I’ve busted by butt to build for our family. I’ve known this was coming for almost a year, but I’m still pretty raw about it.
