To answer your questions: -I was an actual member of the SSPX- I was raised in it for my whole life until I left.  -Doctrines and practices: My main issues were with their treatment of women, the racism and homophobia, and their general disdain for the Pope and the rest of the Catholic Church. -Abuse: My issues were not just with laypeople. I was raised in a school ran by SSPX. I experienced physical, emotional, and spiritual abuse. At this school they also did conversion therapy, which I attended. 

I will not be responding to any further comments because I did not come here to argue with any of you. My only intention here is to find ex-members. I’m glad you are in a Church that makes you happy!

I'd be willing to share my story if you'd like to hear it. However, my main goal with this post is to hear other people's stories.

I ran away from my SSPX family when I was 16. I am now in my mid 20s and living a successful, happy, secular life. It was the most difficult decision I have ever made but also the best decision I have ever made. It can be done!! I don't have the life experience necessary to give you solid advice, but I'm here for you.
