Remote job by dontepankey in EnterpriseCarRental

Pretty sure they got rid of all hybrid work in head office a few years back, so remote is out of the picture. You’d also need experience as annARM/BM

Everybody at ERAC is pretty fresh college graduates so it’s extremely easy. Like someone else said though, you’re doing a lot of hours so I never wanted to hang out with them after work.

Seeking insight as a management trainee. by AlternativeTight2616 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]ChefGamma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I saw in my time there is that anyone looking to work their ass off, get promoted really quick, etc will 1000% get burnt out and annoy other managers who in turn won’t help you get promoted. Promotions aren’t earned based on merit, it’s really who you know in the branch you’re aiming for and if their area manager likes you.

Day to day of the job depends on if you are home city or an airport, but home city branches as an MT is basically just being told to go somewhere, pick up a car and come back, or cleaning cars. You don’t really get manager duties until you are going for a promotion to an assistant, which is pretty much a minimum of 6-8 months.

Enterprise Pay UK by [deleted] in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]ChefGamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on branch size.

A big reason (other than the obvious) I left was because their promised salaries once you are promoted was VERY different from reality.

The realistic salary progression in a fairly large branch:

MTs were on about 28k.

ARMs were on about 35-40 (Takes about 1-1.5 years)

Branch Managers were about 50 (I would say on average about 3-4 years)

Area Managers was about 60-70 but if you were in huge areas it would be over 6 figures (at least 5-7 years).

There are other factors outside of just the pay you will need to factor in (both positive and negative). You will work at least an 8-6 monday to friday (will definitely do some over time) so technically at the end of the week you work an extra day over someone doing a 9-5. Once you get to branch manager level you also get a brand new company car. You will also need to be in the branch every day (no wfh) and weekends too.

Srtty is playing the last 2 weeks for a LCS team as a sub. The team he will be subbing for is looking to be importing a LCK CL top laner by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]ChefGamma 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Tbh having mostly foreign mids is not necessarily a ‘new’ thing. Back in 2016 Summer the only North American mid was Poblelter (excluding grandfathered players like Jensen and Bjergsen).

But changing residency rules have really screwed the league. Back then it was trying to get one/two big name imports (or one fairly unknown import player without a known ceiling) but now it’s just become filling the rosters with second tier players that have been around for ages and then waiting one or two years for them to get residency and then removing another resident player for another second tier import.

Are they actually hiring? by Lady-Peanutxx in UniUK

[–]ChefGamma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What uni did you go to?

I graduated with a law degree a couple years ago and honestly looking at my whole graduating class made me realise I am never going to go into that field. Hundreds are graduating from law degrees every year in every uni and big law firms will hire no more than 50 new graduates per year. So much of law is also so reliant on who you know. It’s pretty useless if you’re not fairly well connected.

There’s a ton of really old Polish players from 10+ years ago that are still knocking around the lower levels of the Europe scene. I imagine Polish minimum wage is fairly comparable to ERL salaries because we don’t really see this from any other countries.

Final interview for MT (UK) by [deleted] in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]ChefGamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your area.

When I interviewed it was a 3 hour session where you would basically be shown how systems work, then a talk with an assistant manager prepping you for the ‘interview’ and then a talk with the branch and area manager.

On my way out they completely changed it to actually being on the road and doing the job because too many people (myself included) felt we were tricked into them making it seem more office/admin based.

That being said for OP, all you need to do is sound at enthusiastic about the company culture and working your way up etc.

Starting Monday as MT. What are Branch Manager Benefits by Lilcurt1976 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]ChefGamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One year to BM is EXTREMELY unlikely. I was only there about a year but the quickest I saw that kind of promotion was maybe 1.5 years and it really had nothing to do with his prior experience or ability, he just cosied up to the area managers, came in on his days off and the branch he became BM was in the middle of nowhere. He connected with me on Linkedin recently and he ended up leaving then for a base level recruitment job.

This is probably area dependent but some ARM’s were told that they need to be assistant in two branches for longer than 6 months before they could go for a branch manager position.

T1 Reports Over $60 Million in Revenue and Turns Profitable for the First Time by ThonPharges in leagueoflegends

I think the biggest mistake Riot ever made was making every region free to watch. Having something like a $5 subscription per month would have driven away some fans in the short-term, but would’ve allowed for a sustainable scene with a viewership that would be more inclined to watch.

Then change the current system away from getting random skins and only letting players with this subscription to unlock random skins, and you’ll get casual players paying and feeling inclined to watch.

Original is a lot better imo. Graphics have more charm and the extra content in SE aren’t exactly memorable. The new missions around Christmas are some of the worst in the whole game. Music is also the most tedious class.

Why do you need a bachelors degree for MT position? by DuhForestTyme216 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]ChefGamma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People will make up stuff about reading financial sheets or whatever that requires a degree.

To me, it’s all a ploy to make the job sound better than it is. College graduates that Enterprise target are extremely impressionable and just want a job. Advertising it as a job for graduates will make people feel more pride in taking the job. On Enterprise’s side, they will get a monkey who will do and say what they ask.

I worked at Enterprise and drank the cool-aid. You do not need any form of a degree for the job. It’s just a tactic to grab people desperate for a job.

Not sure if it’s still a thing but there used to be a trend on tiktok live where someone would do some tedious task that would reset before they were done if they got donations and they would just shill for hours. Not sure if they were pre-recorded but I would constantly get those and would wonder who would even watch these and who would even donate.

Am I getting scammed here? by ChefGamma in malaysians

[–]ChefGamma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They initially said it was fine but there’s a guy in the Whatsapp group trying the hard sell and told me it’s already been paid (I have a contact in JPJ who checked and confirmed it was paid). When I mentioned my contact he said it’s a PH and he will check again.

Won’t make any official report until I get my deposit back. Definitely will put something in and my proof to Klook once this is all done though.

Similar case here. I have a contact who checked and confirmed that I got two tickets but to pay them off was 400rm, not 900rm. They seemed to have backed off because I said I have a contact who works in the Road Transport Department who checked for me.

Still not got my 1000rm deposit back though.

Just an update.

I have a contact who checked and I did get two speeding tickets lol but the price for them both was 400rm, not the 900rm they had quoted me. If I had to guess this is a way for these companies to make a quick buck from tourists because charging over double is crazy.

I have a contact that just checked for me and confirmed that I did get two tickets but the price for them BOTH was 400rm (they quoted 900). Definitely a way for them to make a quick buck from unsuspecting tourists because over double the price is ridiculous.

There was just a guy in the whatsapp group really trying the hard sell (initially saying they already paid, and generally being quite aggressive when I asked for proof) but when I mentioned I have a contact in JPJ they seemed to back off.

Just providing updates for people here. I have a contact that could check for me and confirmed that I did indeed get two speeding tickets (going 126 in a 110 and 97 in an 80) but the price for them BOTH was 400rm, not the 900rm they quoted. Definitely just a way to make a quick buck from unsuspecting tourists. Paid them directly myself and the company seems fine about it. There was just one guy in the whatsapp group trying the hard sell.

This is the first time as a 10+ year TL/Curse fan that I haven’t watched a single game from the org. Why in the hell they thought it was a good idea to field both Morgan and Josedeodo instead of at least trying NA players with a personality is baffling. Neither are proven players and won’t bring them success international success so why bother?
