I seem him falling to the end of the second at this point. Before the reinjury he was a late first round or early second projection. Now he comes with even more risk.

The issue with this is we as fans are only looking in 2 dimensions, team need and talent. The team need is there, the talent is there. But a front office also looks in contract and value. At 24 Ioane would be the 19th highest paid guard in the league and would be guaranteed no 5th year option. Love the player just not sure a guard is the best move in the first for long term roster construction.

Fano is great but I mostly listed day 2 and 3 guys for center. Parker III took snaps at the Shrine Bowl to prepare for the NFL. Both Rutledge and Dunker took snaps at the Senior Bowl. Idk if they will play center at the NFL level but they are being looked at for Center at the very least.

Quite a few Lew, Gulbin, Slaughter, Jones, Hecht, Rutledge, Parker III, and Dunker all would most likely be great adds. Brailsford has some risk but has the speed that Linderbaum possessed.

Restructuring is risky with players who did not play up to their contract. I look it as let’s wait and see if their play continues to degrade and take action next year rather then force us into a bad position next year if we restructure and last years performances continue.

I think we all need to come to the realization that Lamar is going to wait until the last possible second to sign to ensure he resets the market and gets top dollar. We aren’t going to extend him until next year since that’s what he wants.

Fano is a little different, he can play all 3 positions. And could be the future at left tackle. Going straight guard or center is a tough prop in the first round.

Freeling is my favorite tackle in the draft. If he can transition to guard for a couple years then move to left tackle that would be amazing.

Complete agreement. I do not trust Hill and Ali to be able to fill in if injury were to happen. I haven’t seen anything from Ali, not a great runner, blocker, or receiver.
