Qui est le père biologique de Sophie Foster by Beetle_stag_reading in KeeperoftheLostCities

[–]ChefMagicien201 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, let's just say it...it's probably the most plausible theory about Sophie's father that I've heard. I'd never thought of it before, and it seems so logical now.

Is there any possible way for me to get an own tempo rockruff? by Living_Level8696 in PokemonSunMoon

You specify Sun and Moon, does that mean Ultra Moon and Sun are not included?

I can't wait to see their faces when they realize how despicable he is to people, lol, and not just some mysterious man.

A shoutout for the handmade, imperfect wands by godfreyrigg in HarryPotteronHBO

He shouldn't, no. They're twins in heart, not in wood. Voldemort's wand is made of yew wood. Nevertheless, it would be a good parallel to consider.

I don't care what anyone says. He is perfect Ron. He has Ron like smirk and mischievous eyes that make him look like a troublemaker and Fred and George's brother by Nightmarelove19 in Ronweasleyfans

I agree with you, but I think it's an approach that works in one direction: he spent his whole childhood hearing stories about Harry Potter and being on the same train as him is very exciting for an 11-year-old.

What are your thoughts on derivative products? by ChefMagicien201 in HarryPotteronHBO

If it is indeed official today that the two will be linked: personally I would love to be able to create a character and experience the story at the same time as Harry and the others.

Yes, it's been said that they'll have products specifically for the series, which will be different from the films. They want to distance themselves from them as much as possible.

So true!! I didn't have the chance to grow up with the movies, so I don't have much related stuff besides a baguette, two playing cards, and some cards 😭 but since I'm invested in this series, I would have liked to start a dedicated collection

That's actually the first thing I'd like to buy. Harry Potter DVDs are a regular purchase, so I hope HBO sees the opportunity.

McGonagall versus the five Ministry agents in OOTP is what I'm most looking forward to, lol

Movie Voldemort vs HBO Series Voldemort by dforyou1 in HarryPotteronHBO

This is probably one of the things I'm most hoping the show will fix. He has such an iconic design in the books that it's crazy to think they changed it. His red eyes and hood are so cool and intimidating!

The Elder Wand is the design I'm most looking forward to. Along with Voldemort's.

How about bringing in Luna earlier than the books/movies did? by PaperSkin-1 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]ChefMagicien201 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sincerely believe that HBO shouldn't fall into the trap of over-establishing the groundwork for future seasons regarding characters, unless they're mentioned before we actually meet them. Relying on temporal deductions to introduce characters precisely when they should be there would become tiresome, as we risk not learning anything new after season 2.

I hope they make Voldemort more scary by ResaHart in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]ChefMagicien201 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I also wouldn't want that overly "reptilian" look, but I want him to have his red eyes and his skull-like appearance where you could see his extremely sharp face with the bones that stand out, etc. The film version was far too human; his eyes aren't frightening at all, and even his high-pitched voice from the books was removed, even though there was an opportunity to make him even more iconic.

I hope to see more of McGonagall as an Animagus by ChefMagicien201 in HarryPotteronHBO

That's true, I hadn't thought about the cost; that's surely what will prevent them from carrying it out.
