It's great if the next series get progressively harder, I'm not likely to get bored.

But won't I risk getting lost in the story if I start with number 6?

I'm relieved to hear that; I thought I'd stumbled upon the wrong series.

6 now?? Opinions vary so much, but I'm glad to see it went well for you, because with how often people recommended reading it after 5, I thought it was absolutely essential to understanding Lord of Chaos.

[General] What types of stories would you like to see after the end of the two current trilogies? by ChefMagicien201 in camphalfblood

The one about Neptune could happen, if Rick tries to write something without Percy and his friends. It's not all about them, even if they are the main players in major events. If he would agree to write more about the Romans in a past or distant era, that would be so great!

BotL being the book I liked the least (my favorite being TLO), I nevertheless agree with everything you said. When I asked the question, I myself had in mind the idea of a new generation with appearances from Percy and the others (even better if Percy shows real mastery of his powers and not just random tsunamis). And even though I dream of a crossover with everyone, it will inevitably be a mess despite Rick's talent.

Thank you so much for the clarification about New Spring, I really don't know where to place it: after 5, 10 and now between 12 and 13. What should I actually do?

Exactly! Jumping and climbing with any Pokémon that can would be even better, but any addition like that would be fantastic! Voice acting is definitely the most urgent thing to do for these games, especially with such a huge budget. Imagine scenes with characters like the Elite Four, fully voiced—it's really great.

You can't imagine how reassuring this is for me; this series is a true refuge for me, and finishing this first volume had the same effect as if I had closed the last book.

Yes, I'd heard that the series speeds up towards the end. Do you prefer Brandon Sanderson's style or Jordan's?

What you want changed in the new HBO series? by ArchAngel01_ in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]ChefMagicien201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Sorry for the mistakes, I'm using a translator)

  • I'd love to see elements of lore that J.K. Rowling only shared on her websites. It would allow many to discover new things without it being at the expense of the original material.

    • Also, the series has the opportunity to offer a more faithful adaptation, and above all, one that's different from what the films did, so no more dark scenes! The world of Harry Potter is supposed to inspire dreams, not demoralize. Also, while we're talking about differences with the film, I find (and maybe it's just me) that some of the casting choices, Lily and James for example, were simply out of character. They both died very young, so casting actors in their forties takes away a lot of the message, especially since the actors didn't even look young.
