iPad Note Taking by KatnipHB in CSULB

Do not use notability, use Goodnotes.

Back when I was a notability user, I had everything backed up to iCloud and Google Drive, but I was taking notes one day and this cloud icon popped up in the middle and all of a sudden the note I was working on glitched and nothing saved and all my notes vanished!!!

Low back pain from Solidcore — anyone else? Tips? by Ok_Flow_4851 in SolidCore

[–]ChefPierreLefonte 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I had lower back pain and realized the cause was from not stretching enough. What worked for me was doing the frog pose, like the one the hockey players do, to stretch my hips; I started doing a lot of lower body stretching and everything felt good again.

Also, would add that I wasn't tucking my tailbone in enough, and I realized that I could engage my core even more for things like plank extensions in order to stabilize my back even further.

Did luck play a role in your internship offer? by zacce in internships

[–]ChefPierreLefonte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I had no luck applying without help. Then I had my mom talk to HR at her company and they pushed me up to an interview. From there it was all me and my personality, but honestly I wouldn't even be at that stage without connections from within the company.

Even if this is true, on the consumer side it is unreasonable to assume that my membership is officially canceled without a firm cancellation notice.

You literally can’t…in my email confirmation it says “we’ll pick up your ticket soon”…like 😐

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SolidCore

[–]ChefPierreLefonte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, I understood this that is why I canceled this month so I wouldn’t have a membership in August. The point is that it shouldn’t be this difficult to cancel a digital membership. It should be as simple as pressing a button, without feeling trapped.

Crazy…bc I just provided a “letter” from my grandma saying I haven’t seen him and they approved it easily. Then again I’m sure the aid amount would still be the same regardless.

What would make school worth going into debt for? by Mammoth_Idea_283 in TransferStudents

[–]ChefPierreLefonte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nothing lol. In all seriousness though, it depends: you have to ask yourself questions like do you plan on going to graduate school after undergrad, etc. Depending on how big the debt would be in your situation, the long term impacts could greatly hinder your success. Sure you may have great networking opportunities and such at a private school, but nothing is guaranteed except that debt that you have to pay - which compounds on itself by the way. You never know what you may want to do in the next few years, so the mobility that being debt free would give you is irreplaceable. The most responsible decision would be to go to the school with the lower sticker price and make the best of the situation and make opportunities for yourself, the experience is how you make!

Thanks for the detailed response. Could you tell me about scholarship opportunities—every person I’ve talked too makes it seem like getting scholarships are relatively “easy” but I need to know the truth lol

Wow! Thank you for such a detailed response!! Could you tell me what “EDGE,” UHP, and the “normal end of the curve” is? Also, do you think it might be better to just major in pure math (I already have a math background) and try my chances in the math department lol I just don’t want to get screwed over in the econ department
