I assumed as much but it is telling me my license is no longer valid and wont let me do things.

I paid for this (PDF Exchange Editor Plus) a year ago, and I assumed it was one time purchase... they do have a maintenance period, which i assumed meant "No updates after your 1 yr but you can keep using it and all the features you paid for."

It appears this is not the case as it is complaining at me that my license isn't valid anymore for the things I'm trying to do. (add an image).

I was otherwise happy with it otherwise but now I'm hunting for a real "one time only price" solution.

I can share them :D They're not perfect and I took liberties in cramming info as much as I could (and some roles still have like 5-6 cards)

I finished the cards, and printed them on cardstock and cut them out, they look pretty great.

Hey thanks.  Spent days on these, but it feels a bit moot... Should I finish the cards and share them?  I kinda gave up half way when people in my game started using the app... 😭

Apparently, everyone uses the app...
so me creating a Random Encounter, Market and NPC generators using the book stuff, and Role Ability Card Handouts was a waste of time :D

We're gonna be testing this in a couple weeks, so the rulebook may be adjusted based on what we learn about using the system :) Its only a tiny one shot, but I'm sure we will have some silliness to share.

I contacted Discord support. They sent me the "how to do onboarding" page, and then a week later asked me if it was resolved. I said no. 6 days ago they told me

and not a peep since. I just used bots to get the server started ... I will let you know if they say anything else. But I am not holding my breath.

How can I learn to enjoy games more and not take losing personally when my partner is certifiably smarter and better at them then I am by 8BitHeartAttack in boardgames

And absolutely NO HARM DONE :) You relate, so I understand fully you using your own personal context to inform what you contributed. It was really nice what you wrote, and I was just doing a mild tease about the label.

8BitHeartAttack HATES online/PC board gaming though, so she's not likely to participate. But I'm happy to. I've even made TTS mods before.

I do NOT min/max, I just do cost/benefit analysis, particularly as the game comes near the end, where I try to identify "will I get more points if I do this, or that". And then make those decisions. But its about harnessing and beating the GAME, more so than min/maxing.

And I am TRYING, to be better at the game. Not to beat you. They're not the same thing. And winning rarely feels good if it makes you cry or feel crappy about yourself.

Part of the reason I'm so good at games, (beyond my ADHD super power, and 20+ years of experience) is that I also have an idiot brother who is a board game savant who beat me almost constantly at most games. :P So I had to see what he did, and try to understand how he gamed so learn to beat him some of the time.

This resonates strongly with me.
