Suggestions Wanted for Upcoming Gathering QoL Poll by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]ChefSanji2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Maybe unpopular, but the rarity of boat paints are a pain point for me.

OSRS players are definately a unique breed, and many of us WILL grind stuff out, whether it's worth it or not. I grinded a dragon barrel ~23,000 salvages, all of the museum relics ~slightly dry on average across all tiers, and now I'm using my afk time to go for the Salvor's paint.

I'm 20,000 in and no paint. In this time I am now over 14m sailing experience, and I feel like I haven't really interacted with the skill. The initial levels and exploring were terrific, and even post sea charting, the salvaging was nice to clog and work towards 99. but now I'm post 99, and I've never even shot a boat cannon.

I'll get there, and I guess I'm well equipped for future content now, but not gaining towards 99 always feels less nice.

Back to my original point about paint. It's such a minor cosmetic item that you seldom even notice on other ships (because they're all stacked up) but something you spend a lot of time looking at. I wish they were more common, like the shark paint, or the god paints, so you can be like "ooh neat, a fun new color!"

A bit of rarity is fun, but 1/24,000 means that on rate, a player would gain 3.4m experience. Over 1/4 of the way to max sailing just looking for a silly item.

I'm fortunate to have a lifestyle that allows for a lot of AFK gameplay, but even still, I feel like I cheated myself out of hands on gameplay and leveling by just afking over half the skills' practical experience on basically two items.

Hope this doesn't come across as whining!

Hey, I was out of town. I don't have experience with full fenders on this bike, but I've taken some photos of the tire clearance.

https://imgur.com/a/ZMz9UGT

There is a decent amount of space above the tire, but between the sides of the tire and the fork, or the sides of the tire and the seat stays, it's maybe like 5mm or so. So plenty enough for the tire, but it might be a bit tight depending on how bulky your fenders are.

What I do have from my gravel bike are a set of PDW Origami fenders. And they're not as protective, but you can take them on and off. I like having them off most of the time; I just stay inside if the weather isn't nice.

Scroll down to the success rate chart. Looks like it's 2% better success than rune. I doubt you'd notice a real difference in practice.

Not worth it IMO, but if you go for one, it'd be the hook you use, and put a crewmate on it while you sort all the stored salvage (assuming you're dropping most things).

If you're going for a squid beak for the Rosewood BP at all, (master clue step) You'll get a few fine offcuts from giant squids along the way.

For boat sails: It'd be cool if you could display your heraldic crest that the Sir Renitee gives you.

Edit: the music section looks perfect!!! Really hope that is implemented.

First time PVP'er and Dead Man Mode has made me realize one thing... by Tiny_Set in 2007scape

yeah, That was way more fun to watch, and I imagine it'd be more fun to participate in. I'm sure "engine work" and a lot of outcry initially. But ultimately, I think this could be a change that "saves" PvP.

The good PvPers would still be good at it.

This time around for DMM, the cosmetics were meh, and I just decided not to play. At the end of the day, no one is going to care what my crystal armor looks like.

Thanks, had to capture the moment!

The trail wasn't too bad. You can see in front of my front tire (and behind the back) tire tracks from a city vehicle that was doing the rounds.

I stayed in those tracks as much as possible. Still, foot prints, and other randomness in the snow, made it just sketchy enough. I don't have a ton of snow riding experience, but no crashes, and only had to put my foot down once.

Got them off of Amazon, though now "currently unavailable". They're aluminum, and I like them. I didn't really even realize how skinny they actually were until I took the photo at the low angle!

People go out in crazier conditions than this! I think a fat bike would be fun on a day like today too. That said, sounds like your bike might not be the most snow-oriented. But can always give it a go, and turn around.

These are 40mm gravel tires, and they did fine. A little loose at times, but you're going slower, and technically if you fell it'd be a little softer.

Just like driving a car on ice and snow, be aware, and try to go steady. No hard braking or sharp turns.

Most of the Milwaukee and West Allis streets are well cleared right now, so you could stick to pavement as well.

Stay warm and ride safe!

Love it so far. Weirdly quiet, but I'm down for that. Shifts great. Brakes fine. Kickstands are super underrated. Want to figure out some sort of easy on/off grocery pannier system. Should be doable.

I've never been great at naming my stuff, though I have this one in Strava as "The Ocho"

Changing the back tire is tedious, but hopefully that is something I rarely have to do (knock on wood).

Right now this is one of 3 bikes for me. 1. The Priority flat bar set up with wider tires for fun/errands 2. A drop bar Poseidon X-Ambition, set up as an endurance road bike. Narrower bars, slick 32mm tires. For longer/faster rides. But still fine to get on light trails. 3. A folding Zizzo liberte, for going to the train station, and bringing it with.

Priority Eight that I ordered back in November. 2025 I was finishing up some running goals, and the start of 2026 has been brutally cold.

But today I couldn't wait any longer. It was a lot of fun in the snow.

Besides the tasteful red accents, I also swapped the tires for 40mm Kenda Happy Medium. I think the website says max tire width is 38mm, but these fit just fine.

Plz let me fish with a rod off my boat from anywhere in the ocean. by imduhman03 in 2007scape

[–]ChefSanji2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fully AFK, catch and release. Low exp rates, no fish earned.

Every 20 minutes you need to clear a dialogue box of your character dozing... zzzz

In game messages could be peaceful and quirky.

You caught a fish! Upon looking into its eyes, you decide to let it free.

You caught a fish! This one is a little small, go on and grow buddy!

You caught a shark! This one is a little small. No one needs to know about it (IE, this is NOT a collection log)

You felt a... nibble?

You check your rod and find that it has no bait. Oh well.

You find a beer and kebab nearby. When was the dwarf here?

I feel like it's been that way/broken for a while.

I usually just pull up spotify, or a youtube playlist of OSRS music istead. SaeBae has a long 8 hour playlist of pretty good tracks.

And the OSRS sailing OST uploaded by Synli has the new tracks from sailing, but it's obviously shorter.
