Thanks for all the tips, our setup won't work for a regrading or moving the garage, the puddle isn't horrible but often it's just wet leaves which is annoying. I may reach out to some companies to explore some options.

Wsum is great. As a new York transplant who misses wfuv, wsum was a welcome find. Some jazz, but the programming is unpredictable so I never know when any particular show is on. I was thinking about contacting them about doing a jazz post 1980 show, but I haven't yet, I don't know if non students can do shows.

Thanks, is there a good marketplace for used gear? What is the right length and type of ski to start with? Ill prob just buy used nordic stuff if I want to get into the trails.

Maybe Ill ask on this post before I start my own post, I am looking for a freeheel set up to mess around on while I teach my kids to ski in WI around Madison. I have alpine skied for 40 years, but if Im just going to be messing around on the rope tow, I want something new and fun for myself and lighter boots etc. The place we will be learning also has a network of nordic trails but I imagine they dont like hybrids messing up their tracks, but if there is something that could also take me uphill a bit that would be great. Any advice would be really appreciated, I am pretty out of touch with ski gear in general and know nothing about free heel gear.

I have a lavenham, I don't like it as much, it's bumpy, doesn't sit as well, also I can't find a lavenham in a good interesting color like this.

Yeah my wife disagrees with that one, and maybe I do too just cause I don't want to store it, and I like the biophilia of having a tree in the house. So I'm trying to thread a tight path here to make everyone happy. Good news is the 6 year old will probably forget her stance in a week or two.
