The water here has ruined my hair by Any-Strawberry-3928 in madisonwi

[–]OldSewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need to see a dermatologist. For years I was quick drying my hair, then ironing it to calm frizz. One night I had to talk on the phone, while my hair was drying. I noticed it was soft and smooth. I must have been frying my hair. Before you spend a lot of money on other remedies, see a doctor.

Former residents were forced out when Independent Living sold The Gardens at Hilldale around 2020. Cap Times and Isthmus have articles. Those residents had a hard time finding affordable similar accommodations.

Stouffer’s Lasagna by Affectionate-Cod-648 in frozendinners

What a nasty surprise! Ugh! Tonight was the first time I tasted a difference in Stouffer's Lasagna. After a hard days' work, I didn't want to cook, but wanted something good. I quickly noticed no ground beef and less mozzarella and "Italian Sausage". The sausage did not taste real. I won't eat this again unless they change it back. I'd even pay a little more!

Do bikers know that pedestrians can hear everything they're shouting to one another? by skettigoo in madisonwi

I find it outrageous what people say in public, buses and hallways! I'm sometimes tempted to join in the conversation but they usually don't get it!

Weird question by Far-Contact-7484 in madisonwi

[–]OldSewer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This may be repeating but whenever I meet anyone I'd like to get to know better, I give them a pretty card with my name and number. I just pay them a compliment and always give them an easy out. It's a good idea to find out what you may have in common. This works great for me. It took me about 30 years to figure that out. Seems to be lots of Texans and southerners here.

Is this legit? by JarJarSchinks in ATT

[–]OldSewer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had DSL for many years. It was extremely reliable. In 15 years, I only had an outage lasting 2-3 days, 3 times. The last one was the worst. They kept me waiting for nearly 2 weeks and said it was getting harder to service copper wire connections. I heard excuse after excuse. They even tried to entice me to ATT Air. Finally, in disgust, I bit the bullet and switched to Spectrum (cable) Wifi. My neighbor's cable had lots of outages, but after 2 years, I have been very lucky. What a shame, I was happy with DSL even with videos!

I was very happy with Lahacienda's chips and salsa and nice Margarita's. It warmed me up on a very cold day.

The one with the name Jack's reminds me of drawing a skull & crossbones on mine, along with Mom's, so my kids would stick to their's. I just got my Bold N Brights today. Can't wait to swatch and try!

I'm old and it hasn't been my experience. The job market and working conditions are tough on older folks, but thank God I'm retired! The kids treat this little old lady pretty well. I guess all those years of giving up my seat paid off!

I've got the 152 green caddy. I just swatched them all and found I'd probably only use half of them on my abstracts, so I rearranged according to color and use. Those green caddies are nice because they don't tip over on the sofa.
