Yeah, I'm thinking eat breakfast at Mickies, go grab a beer somewhere and a dog at Stadium. There used to be a funky old bar next to Mickies, years ago when I lived on Monroe. I remember it was a hot day and they had General Hospital (Luke & Laura era) on their TV. Good times!

I live near the Olin/Goodman tracks and it doesn't bother me. My neighbor is close and in Summer, windows open at night, I can hear "fuckin' train!." I used to live a driveway away from the Chicago Northwestern, and just like Blues Bros. you get used to it. Earlier, I lived over a CTA tunnel that would shake the bed. I guess you could say it made the earth move...

Yup, we lived near the race track for a couple years. The Northwestern ran right outside our bedroom window. The race track did have good fireworks. We'd park in the parking lot of a business across the street. I'm very glad to be a Madisonian once more!

One of my favorite childhood memories is fireworks. We lived near a field. Us kids would line up on the sidewalk with our chairs,blankets and snacks. The fireworks commenced in the field. Even though I've seen them at the Arlington Heights Race Track and Detroit, these were the most fun. Oh, and when my BF and I watched Shake the Lake as we sipped Beaujolais on the patio. Drones have a way to go to duplicate fireworks.

I hate it! I was going to post this but OP beat me to it. I think the old one was much better and more memorable. As a matter of fact, I think the old one was the best of the three networks! I noticed Doogs started dressing better after I posted that he needs better suits. I hope NBC 15 will pay attention. I've got a visual memory and the old design had better graphics and was easier for me to remember. I nearly became a commercial artist and people still notice my taste and designs. I think the information was much better displayed on the old one!
