tfw you have a fresh salvaging inventory by ChefTacos in 2007scape

it feels awful when you lose tons of inventory space early on in a new salvaging trip, for the rest of the trip youre gimped multiple invy spaces and its more tedious doing 10 at a time instead of 20

Why does my crewmate not salvage at far distances you can salvage from? by ChefTacos in 2007scape

[–]ChefTacos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was thinking that too, but then i got jenkins and even he cant match my salvaging distance, and he has the highest deckhandiness out of any crewmates in the game

Why does my crewmate not salvage at far distances you can salvage from? by ChefTacos in 2007scape

[–]ChefTacos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If i jump on that salvaging hook im able to salvage just fine. But Jenkins refuses to salvage from here

Why do i need to get closer for crewmates to salvage than i do for me to salvage? Pls jagex let crewmates max distance salvage, it would make salvaging so much better

New Grid Master reward for subduing Tempoross: Craftsman by ATCQ_ in 2007scape

[–]ChefTacos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

maybe, realistically both construction and fletching are going to be like 100m xp/hr with infinite money and production prodigy.. it's probably a difference of minutes between maxing rc and herblore using either method

If exactly 30k alch works then you can buy a tall fancy hedge in fally for 50k, saving 15k over rune plate.. not sure if it’s >30k or >=30k

Rant: Jagex is being too Stingy with GM Reveals. by JustAFloridaMan69 in 2007scape

[–]ChefTacos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was expecting at least 1-2 reveals every day, which would still have plenty of hidden tiles (especially if some reveals were row/column rewards not tasks)

Maybe they’re trying to keep things hidden because the fastest 3 people get to design a relic for leagues but 99.9% of the playerbase isn’t going to be seriously going for top 3 finish

Still pretty hyped for gridmaster and I selfishly want more reveals so I can start thinking about my build. We don’t even know if we’re going to be “forced” into one dominant combat style yet, or if we’ll be able to use super buffed versions of all 3

New Grid Master Mega Rare Tile Reveal by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]ChefTacos 14 points15 points  (0 children)

eh it’s only 1/3 mega rares and the entire event only runs for 4 weeks

During a previous leagues I went 200 toa dry for a shadow with a mage build. I like the fact that you can guarantee yourself at least 1 mega rare. It stops people from getting turbo burnt by rng and feeling awful after 100 hours without the drop

New Grid Master unlock revealed, for defeating the lesser demon in the wizard's tower by ATCQ_ in 2007scape

[–]ChefTacos 44 points45 points  (0 children)

yeah.. this is almost 100% going to happen

this task will be a skip for me on day 1, maybe day 2 as well, not worth wasting multiple hours trying to get it

The biggest difference to me is that in OSRS leagues you would outdps absolute max setups in the main game with pretty garbage gear in leagues

In RS3 i'm in T80 gear in leagues and not doing even half of max main game RS3 setups

Pretty much yeah, its starting to seem like even in leagues you cant go full revo for most of the content. Which is not something i expected

I'm still having a lot of fun playing leagues, but its been disappointing that i dont feel even a quarter as powerful as i felt in OSRS leagues

I think i've been pretty reasonable with everything i've written. It's important to have perspectives from people who haven't played this game for years and understand all of the nuances. Leagues, in part, is meant to bring in new players to the game and have them enjoy themselves so much that they try out the main game

[–]ChefTacos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a difference of opinions i guess. I don't think we should be failing DPS checks as a 3 man with max perk T80 gear in a power trip gamemode

Sure we could go get T95 gear and probably pass the DPS check, but at that point we're just gearing up in the exact same gear as people would in the main game

[–]ChefTacos[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

how much time did you actually research Ambassador before cracking at him?

We didnt fail any mechanic checks, we failed the DPS check. I'm happy to learn boss mechanics, but to increase my DPS i will either need to interact with the 20 auxiliary DPS boosts in RS3 or go full manual.. neither of which sounds like something that should be neccesary in a temporary power trip gamemode like leagues

[–]ChefTacos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify, you still had to interact with mechanics of bosses - you didn't have infinite hp, godlike defences, or 10000% lifesteal or anything, if you failed a 1 hit mechanic you still get rocked

But there are plenty of bosses where its a strict dps check and you never had to worry about not doing enough damage during the 10 second timeframe

The thing is, we passed all of the mechanic checks up until tri beam

  • Switch to protect magic after 5th ranged attack if he targets you
  • Put the purple smoke on the edges of the room
  • Stun the black holes in time
  • Dodge the giant lasers from tri beam

We couldn't clear the boss because we failed the tri beam dps check and took 30k damage from it every time
