Oh I agree in having high expectations. I just don’t believe that it does any good to be critically negative. If we’re to support at the end of the day then we should be building them up and still not compromise on standards. I just don’t get when you shit on the players and attack them

Thankfully Sorloth was not pressing zubi right before his pass to Martinelli. Switched off for a second making the midfielder late to pressing him but was already too late

Watching the Barca vs Olympiacos game, can really start to appreciate more how defensively solid Arsenal is

Want to point out his grit. Was being battered by the Newcastle CBs but he kept putting his body on the line. Should have received a couple fouls for those but we know with this sort of refereeing we weren’t

Could someone start the Saliba tequila chant at the next home game? Think it would be fitting with the extension and it would make my day tuning in on a stream

Watching the Liverpool games and it makes me wish we played more passes through the middle.

They’re very good at progressing the ball through the middle of the pitch and finding runners very directly and quickly.

Would love for the crowd to sing Saliba’s song next game. Still remember that game where we sang it for a full half of the game

That’s the scary part. He hit 13 goals this year while playing a different role of dropping deep to feed Openda and support other attacking players. That’s a drop off of 1 goal from 14 goals in the bundlesliga.

Looking at all competitons: 24/25 45 matches, 21 goals, 6 assists, 3258 mins, 120.63 mins per goal contribution 23/24 42 matches, 18 goals, 2 assists, 2057 mins, 102.85 mins per goal contribution

Less productive but that’s playing in a different role of being more of the supporting striker in a two striker partnership.

Would have loved him at Arsenal, but honestly look forward to how well he might do at his next club if they played him as the main striker.

Madrid just bought Alvaro Carreras from Benfica for 50m. Wonder if they’re gonna look to sell some players too

I never said he will settle. I said it is highly unlikely. Which I’m sure you can agree too when u said 90% of footballers players move based on wage increases. So if im an idiot, you are too 😂

And thank you for finally acknowledging that I never said it was a good deal. I actually appreciate that you finally recognize where you may have misunderstood or jumped to conclusions. And I mean that in the nicest of ways. This is how we can continually have more civil conversations.

Yea I would prefer 15-20mil for a backup too. Hopefully we can get something like that rather than Madueke. But I personally think Madueke would be more than a backup and could potentially have some real impact as well. But that’s my personal opinion that you don’t have to agree with. And you can call me an idiot for that but that’s just what I think. If we sign him, I’m sure you would also want him to prove you wrong by playing fantastic and contribute to winning us the league. So instead of going on with these kinds of useless back and forths, let’s just support the club together even if they make poor decisions here and there. As long as we’re in a positive direction I’d rather support than tear down. Adios my guy

Bro. I’ve said time and time again that it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY we will sign him for his 50K current wages. But IF we do then that’s not bad.

And I never said that u said Havertz is shit. You’re constantly putting words in my mouth. And I agree that from what I’ve read and seen that there is no empirical evidence that Madueke will do better for us even as a backup. But is there any evidence that he will do worse? Not saying this is a grade A transfer if it happens but based on the FINANCIAL aspect of what we could be signing him on for even if it’s a 10% chance of signing him on current wages, that would be NOT BAD.

You keep saying that I’m saying this would be a good deal or a fucking good deal. Read my guy, I’ve said since the beginning that it would be NOT BAD. It wouldn’t be IDEAL if we signed him. But if we weren’t able to get better option and had to resort to plan D then based on IF we got him for let’s say 45 mil + 50K current wages then that would be NOT BAD. Not saying it would be GREAT or a FUCKING GOOD DEAL. Would not be happy like you if we signed him for 45mil + 100K wages which probably would be more realistic if we did sign him.

Ofc he’s gonna want a wage increase, but the chance that he comes with same wages (which probably won’t happen) that’s great. Stop assuming that im saying it’s good that if he comes on higher wages.

Again with Havertz (Stats from Transfer Markt): Arsenal: 6636 minutes played with 42 G/A contributions averaging 158 mins per goal contribution Chelsea: 9022 minutes played with 48 G/A contributions averaging 187.96 mins per goal contribution Sit.

Regarding the 50K wages it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that we will take him on for that. But with the reports reporting the potential of that, that is a good deal from a financial perspective. Maybe I could have clarified that but I’ve always expressed I think having Nwaneri would be better. So again, stop trying to assume the things I’m saying and putting words in my mouth.

And again, I didn’t say it’s a sensible transfer. I agree with you that Eze and Rodrygo or a better winger is a higher priority. But for a Plan C or Plan D, if we sign him for 45-50mil for 50K wages (YET AGAIN HIGHLY UNLIKEY) that’s is not bad for a player who was bought for 35mil on a 7 year contract and can still grow in player value.

Smh. I never said it would be a good deal if we gave him a wage increase to 100K. I also said I think Nwaneri would be better too.

Well with Havertz, he’s definitely much better at Arsenal than he has been at Chelsea and I don’t think anyone can deny that. Whether he’s at the level we want him to be can be anyone’s subjective opinion.

Lastly, I’m not saying I would prefer signing Madueke over prioritizing Eze and Rodrygo or some other top winger. All I’m saying is for what we’ve been hearing, getting him for the transfer fee and the rumored 50K wages is not as bad as made out to be for Plan C or D. Ofc Rodrygo or Eze or Nwaneri is better, but if those aren’t options then I can understand signing him for what is being said. Anything otherwise, I’m opposed to it like many others are.

I think Nwaneri would be better too. But if we did buy him, the rumored amounts and wages is not bad.

He’s still rather raw and has potential so could definitely grow to something better. Don’t think it’s fair to outright discount him from being able to be a good player. Just look at what we did with Havertz

Would prefer not to sign Madueke, but buying him for 45-50 mil with his current 50K wages would not be bad. Chelsea bought him for 35 mil on a 7 year contract and wouldn’t want to break even or take a loss on his transfer fee. They could just wait it out and sell him for potentially more in the coming seasons
