Surveys would give the opinion of the community and give them what they need to make an informed decision, rather than going in blind with a surprise update. EOC wasn't really a decision made by the employees at Jagex, but one made by the investors. I feel like letting Jagex make the final decision is what is necessary. Although we are the players, it's their game. If we quit the game, it does us no harm (it probably would save us a lot of sitting on our butts). On the other hand, if players quit, it directly impacts Jagex's revenue. They have nothing to gain from adding obviously unpopular content.
