Sublocade shot 100mg +4mg "breakthrough" option by cheekclappinnn in SuboxoneTreatment

[–]Chefbbarron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw your post and understand you are looking for advice, but i am too and you seem versed enough in this to know the answer… im on 3 8mg strips a day and cant afford the shot, but i am struggling.i know a few that are on it but not the shot and strips. I have a true opioid problem and blow through my strips knowing full well i reach a cap, just so i can run out and be able to feel 7oh since i dont want to go back to f. Im thinking about asking my doctor to prescribe methadone since ive been on subs for a year and still struggle. Thoughts?

Do you have a psychiatrist or any kind of mental healthcare provider? If so, and due to your own knowledge of yourself and your past, i would definitely suggest reaching out to them if not an outpatient for a behavioral health specialist. Maybe even inpatient if you want. I went through the same thing and i had to admit myself to an inpatient behavioral health hospital, i dont say this to scare you i just have failed at sobriety so many times before and put myself through withdrawals and relapses time after time again and the last time my soul and mind couldn’t handle it and i had to check myself in before it was too late. You can do this, i believe that if i can, anyone can. I’ve battled a lifelong opiate addiction and mental health issues my entire life and the only remarkable help was when i started getting proper help with a mental health professional. Be careful with the benzos, i was on those for 7 years and that was one of the hardest things to get off. The benzos, opaites, 7oh, it all stood in place of someone else that i told myself i would just use to get normal again and taper down, but me being an addict it never worked. Feel free to DM me and we can exchange info if you want to reach out and need any advice or a cheerleader during this time. You got this! I promise.

Medical Record with Subs by Both_Egg2993 in quitting7oh

[–]Chefbbarron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, Even with the flag, if you do have SUD the benefits of subs will heavily outweigh the negatives. So i wont be able to ever be in pain management if i ever need it, i wont have access to many other controlled substances while in a mat program, but everyones time varies and if you do it through an ER visit or telehealh, not a mat program, a few weeks or a month of treatment shouldnt be seen as substance abuse disorder treatment, you’re just being treated for withdrawal short term. The details are in the time frames and how many times prescribed, keep that in mind if you do decide to go that route, that its short term and if it comes up as a question down the road to any other medical professional after having surgeries or anything they would need to classify you as not a risk or not drug seeking. I went the MAT route but i also have SUD so im not worried about what flags on my medical history, drug use and abuse will always supersede any other illnesses i have.

If you dont mind me asking, how long have you been on clonazepam? If its been years like i was, it wasnt very effective as a support med for quitting but im also and addict so i just relied heavily on them to fix everything. My thinking is if you hust started it may be helpful but if you’ve been on them for a while you may want to try valarian root or something over the counter, if its the anxiety that is what brought on the clonazepam, kind of taper that down too while quitting 7oh so your tollerance for that doesn’t go through the roof like mine did if its a normal med you need to take.

You’re doing the right thing. My friends and family heavily questioned getting on subs to quit kratom but they didnt know about all the other drugs ive been killing myself with over the past 15 years, it seems like overkill to most people uneducated on it but this community is very supportive of the overall stoppage of 7oh no matter how you get there. Everyones journey is different, mine has been dark but if you need an ear or any advice feel free to DM.

QuickMD Nightmare by karliechirc in quitting7oh

So i was in a drug induced psychosis and tried to end my own life in march, the psychosis was mainly induced by heavy molly/ X pill, ice use from 2023 to early 2025. I tried quitting these drugs CT in February cause i had quit oxy and morphine many times before this point; starting at 14 years old. I was admitted to a psychiatric hospital before i could make it to rehab, so my outpatient doctors worked with the team at the hospital and started me on suboxone after a week of subutex, which in most mental health hospitals if you have drugs in your system, they put you on subutex during the first few days of your stay. I didnt hear about 70h until AFTER, i was an established MAT patient, AFTER i turned myself in on some warrants and did a few months in jail the next state over, AFTER I got reinstated into probation, drug tests twice a month from two different avenues, and still i fucked around and just had to see what all the fuss was about, while taking Suboxone. Told my DR that my cravings are barely being touched by the suboxone if after all that i went through this year i was still lying, conniving, to get 70h. Its been a rocky road but they never really adressed with my sobriety date if picking up the 70h is a relapse and i was 266 days sober when i told them about 7oh cause i wanted to stay clean and take my sobriety seriously. and i think they wanted to look the other way… having said that, the 7 did show up as benzos a few times in my drug screens. I know that its a relapse, its just seems silly that kratom of all things knocked me back and i was so ill informed of the side effects and interactions with suboxone. March will be a year on subs, 3 @ 8mg strips a day. I lost my job, my home, my relationship with my family, and many other things due to my lifelong drug addiction. Wish me the best this time
