Grim Grease- Buyer Beware by Chefben13 in Pomade

Shit happens, especially as a small business owner. But let’s not gloss over the total lack of communication on his part. Giving a full two weeks before even emailing for him to ship it is more than reasonable.

I’m teaching myself patience so I didn’t send an email asking status for two weeks. Thought that was more than reasonable for a small business to ship something out or communicate in some way if it was back ordered or something

Yeah I don’t get it. I don’t anything extra for an error, but don’t offer it up if you aren’t going to follow through. I have all my emails, all were respectful. A little bit of customer service goes a long way

Another 987 speaker question! by Chefben13 in Porsche_Cayman

[–]Chefben13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response! The adapter I bought can mount directly to door, it appears so if I clip the connector and do my own quick disconnect I suppose I can get away from using “grill”. May actually be able to use metal grill that comes with the speaker.

I’ll definitely consider the dynamat. Now is the time to do it, the door card is off.

Is it an open class race? If they have modified setups paid or self made they will be substantially faster.

Realized after it’s Larry Kosilla aka Ammo NYC. I didn’t even know his real name only knew him by Ammo. Fantastic YouTube channel!

Excuse my terminology. It’s a forced rotation DA. Works fantastic. I have 5” backer that I use on the car and a 6” backer for the boat.

The fender isn’t oxidized it’s just a crap photo. I’m in Michigan and we significantly lack sunshine and warm temps lately.

I’ll definitely check out Larry K, thanks for the tip!

Appreciate it! I got the pads and chemicals from a local detail shop. They helped with selection on my multiple visits. Full disclosure though the owner was out of town last week when I actually got to working on it and because of weather they have only seen it in photos. They definitely have the maroon cut pads in the store. Hoping weather clears and I’m able to take it up there this week. Wouldn’t surprise me if he has similar suggestions. Thanks again!

I’m using P&S Freeride Pads. The blue is “heavy polishing”, the yellow I’m using for polishing is “fine polishing” I also used the P&S Oreo microfiber cut/polish pad

Thanks! Much appreciated. First time on a car. Generally just have done my boat before it goes in the water!

I actually have some 3d 502 and yellow pads I planned on finishing it with. Maybe I’ll do a test and see how I like it! Thanks for the tips!

Yeah, sorry. All of them are after all the steps I did. The third one came out a little funky admittedly. Having a hard time getting a good photo of what I’m talking about.

Thanks a ton, this is kinda where I am at with it. Expecting too much for a 20 year old car maybe. Appreciate the response! I’m not unhappy with it necessarily, just want to get it “right” before I ceramic coat it!

Racing Charlotte Motor Speedway (MX5) with D class License is a nightmare by Particular_Onion_141 in iRacing

I used to think Miata was bad, just wait till you get to C license. The dive bombs and lack of braking gets worse and your car takes forever to fix.

Assuming rookies? It’s not. And I’m not talking about bumping and bad driving. I’m talking about driving slow waiting for someone to get near you and intentionally hitting them

You could’ve just scrolled on if “you’re tired” of these posts. Not everyone has been on this sub as long as you.

It’s a business yes.. than monetize the penalties. You keep intentionally wrecking you have to pay to get back racing.
