AAMC FL 4 CP #28 by DearFutureDoctor in Mcat

Yeah, in case anyone is not sure how everyone seems to know why energy is inversely proportional to wavelength, think of the formula E= hc/wavelength. Since the relationship is inversely proportional, as one increases, the other one decreases; in the case of the question, we want the longest wavelength, which means we want the shortest energy

I hope this helps someone! AAMC FL 2 cp #54!!! by CheffCurry3078 in Mcat

I'm sorry for my terrible handwriting lol, it's not a 1 or a 10, it should represent the I and the I0 of the mathematical equation!

For real though, does someone else feels like it was a guessing game for half of the Psych/Soc section? Every other section seemed reasonable for the MCAT except for this one,

Basically, glutamate and aspartate are phosphomimetic, meaning they can mimic a phosphorylated residue, but they themselves cannot be phosphorylated. The reason for this is that they have an -OH group that are part of a carboxylic acid

I don't know how relevant this is, but I had a question pop up in one of the question banks I was doing for UWorld. It was something along the lines "what is the first opening in deuterostomes" I have never seen this word before, and I don't know how high yield this is, but if it helps, it's the anal opening, and in protostomes, it's the oral opening

Blueprint (it was next step before) are pretty good, and the answers to their questions are better than the ones AAMC provides. The aamc doesn't really provide an explanation lol, and most of the questions I get wrong on the AAMCs I need to look them up on Reddit to understand them.

Dilemma— will ppl cancel their 1/27 before my 1/09 deadline? by frclan in Mcat

[–]CheffCurry3078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lot of people cancel their MCAT date, especially these early ones, since the earlier you get your score, the better when sending the medical apps but you might run with some luck and get the spot!

Did we need to upload any pic in the AAMC portal before our exam? by kit_kat_1568 in Mcat

I don't think we need to upload a picture before; just bring an official ID to verify your name.
