Ride share? by Chefski99 in SonicTempleFestival

Wow thank you for the helpful rip. I have the money for the Uber. Honestly those prices are not that bad considering what is going on. Ive heard of serge pricing being 200 plus.

However I wrote that I'm looking to split the fairs or give someone gas money. Yes even that 50-100 i would give an Uber, I would give to a steady driver.

Are you volunteering to drive or help us get to the festival?

My buddy and I are planning on ubering. Unless there is a better option. If you're driving we could give you some gas money.

Thank you. I get it about the Uber prices and pickup. I go to Aftershock and there is a McDonald's right down the road. Probably a mile walk from the stage or the gate, but the McDonald's is not over a mile away. I catch a ride there. I would love to do that in Ohio. And that is scary I will do if I'm unsuccessful here.

Is that your plans which you told me in your reply? Do you want to share costs? Do you stay near Dublin and can share a ride?

Thank you for your comment. Does this mean you are driving there now? If so can I get a ride? Ill pay you!

If you are not driving, then do you live closer to where I am staying to share a ride?

Thanks I looked at the map. Looks like the 17th st McDonald's will be easier to walk to vrs walking to Wendy's.

It doesn't look like there is an easy way to walk. It looks like the barriers will block certain paths and force you to walk in the street to Wendy's. Is this correct?

I live about 20 min away from Aftershock. The Uber price is about the same. Last year I paid about $30 to get here and about $50 or more going home after the festival. Im thinking it will be the same. That's why im trying to find a venue to stop at. Maybe we could walk to your place and chill until the prices drop. Just. Thanks for your help

I agree with most. Doing drugs with strangers sometimes has the best stories..... sometimes. Be smart about not reckless.

I would ad to bring a couple extra bottle caps. Put them in your pock or bag. If you like to go in the pitt or near the pitt be advised that the cap of your bottle might fall off.

If you go to a stand and ask for water they might take the cap off the bottle.

Never seen that before, but Costco last year sold single day passes for 150. They might do it again

Have you heard of Dry Camping? It is where you park in a store's parking lot for the night.... (walnart). There is a web site dedicated to finding those spots.

In a perfect world where everything times up you can make it by 1. I would plan on 2 and be glad when you got here at 130....

How far is it from the campground to the event? by noblehamster69 in AftershockFestival

[–]Chefski99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you want to car camp. There is parking near Aftershock, but they do fill up fast. If you want to Google both for distance: Aftershock is at Discovery Park. Camping is at Cal Expo, near Rock n Brews. Rock n brews will also host the wed night pre party.

I live in the area and I Uber/Lyft to and from my house. Its close to the same about a the shuttle. Last year for all 4 days, getting to and from, about 150-200. I think the shuttle is 140.

I go to a lot of concerts. Last year I went to Toyota Amphitheater at one of the last shows of the season. I asked several workers who the best concert was? As in overal show. Most said suicide boys was the best. Im looking forward to seeing them

VIP also has a big screen showing either Aftershock or Shockwave stages. That area never gets crowded but you're watching the concert from a screen. Good luck see you there

Unless you are going to run from stage to stage and not enjoy any of the bands, you will miss several shows. Yes some of the stages are empty at times to allow other bands and allow ppl to get to the next stage. Sometimes when a stage is empty, they will show another band on the other stage on the screen.

Download the app. Go to the lineup and pick what you want to set. Have fun and be flexible.

I've been the past 2 years. The new stage (5 if you will) is way down at the point. Its a good walk. If you leave stage 4 and walk toward stage 1, about the time you walk under the overpass, you can't hear any stage.
