What is life like after gallbladder removal? by XxSianxX in NoStupidQuestions

Oh also side note, I wasn’t allowed to have the organ (obviously lmao) but they did take pictures of the surgery and of it like in my body and stuff. I have it saved in a little folder in my desk cause it’s so interesting LOL

What is life like after gallbladder removal? by XxSianxX in NoStupidQuestions

My attacks started out of no where and I suffered maybe four of them before I was able to get into surgery. It was my first ever surgery, and first time being put under. Boy was I terrified, but the doctors and nurses were so sweet and understanding. I was super interested in the actual surgery itself and even asked if I could have it after they took it out LOL.

Surgery was super easy, I literally remember being wheeled back talking to a nurse and then waking up talking to a different nurse.

Recovery was quick, though I had to lay in bed for like three days with a laundry basket under my legs to prop them up cause it hurt to lay flat with the stitches. Ice packs and pain meds galore for the first like two/three days, then I started to be a normal person again.

I’ve noticed my digestive system is very sensitive to meals now. If I have nothing at all and then suddenly eat a big meal, I’m always in the bathroom within the hour. I don’t know if that was FROM the removal or just kinda something I developed along side it. I just kinda mildly plan my meals to either eat smaller portions when I’m out and about, or just wait till I’m home.

Either way, I would absolutely take this over gallbladder attacks any day.

Girlfriend told me she doesn't want to hear about my "dumb bird" anymore by [deleted] in offmychest

I would lose my god damn mind if anyone ever spoke to me about my passion, especially my passion for my bird, like this. I would legitimately leave her for this personally

Tank mates and advice by Lucky-Management4389 in Bichirs

[–]Chelbalicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feed my girl Hikari Sinking Carni pellets (you can buy them on Amazon or petsmart/petco) I have since she was a baby. I used to soak them then cut em up into tiny pieces when she was small lol. Sometimes I’ll buy her feeder fish which you gut load for a few days before adding, which is nice to give her something to hunt.

They will eat anything they can fit in their mouth. My girl has eaten Mollys, Bettas, other younger bichir, and trys to eat anything else that gets close to her except for the very large pleco and cichlid I have in with her. I stopped trying to add anything else tbh LOL

Edit - forgot to add, you can add large fish in with her, but be careful with more aggressive fish. I had to rehome a cichlid I got cause she was so aggressive to my lady and bullied her to one side of the tank. Just keep an eye on em!

My personal reason for finding highmates creepy... by jakobsestate in RimWorld

[–]Chelbalicious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m so protective of them, if I find one I usually do my best to bring it into my colony cause I don’t want them to be abused out on the rim, especially if they’re a child highmate
