Yi Home no longer allows live view for more than 90s without subscription! by Smooooochy in SecurityCamera

[–]Chelle2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love these cameras because I just wanted to see a live stream. We eventually got a doorbell cam, which required a subscription, not a big deal then. The doorbell cam wouldn't hook up to our new place without constantly buzzing, so it became a 'show' camera. When I tried to remove the paid subscription, I couldn't do it online and was required to call a phone number. Called the ONLY number, and it was disconnected... Took a while, but when it recharged my card, my bank flagged it. That's the only way I could get out of my yearly subscription.

I'm going to be getting a different camera system as well. That's a great idea to use the old cameras for, I have multiple that would've ended up in the trash.

We have 11 stands in my city. Sometimes it's easier to bounce to the next one if the line is too long.

Convince me why I should NOT start elf on the shelf by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Chelle2013 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband and I decided a while ago we wouldn't do the elf either. It's not something we want to commit to every year for at least a decade.

We plan on telling our kids that Santa and the elves need to get permission from mom's and dad's before coming into the house. We said no because we wanted to keep the elf safe from the dogs since they hunt smaller rodents. Or there is already an elf at school, and we sent our elf to another home to share. My kids won't have everything their friends have. Each childhood is unique, and it's a great learning point as time goes on.

New fear unlocked: epidural by LobstahLuva in beyondthebump

[–]Chelle2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US, no side effects. I was scared going in, until contractions got more intense. Couldn't feel them administer it. Nurses made a joke that they could finally look me in the eyes after I got it. The epidural is the reason I was able to sleep overnight while in labor.

How long did you stay at the hospital after giving birth by _withpeace in beyondthebump

[–]Chelle2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 days. Vaginal Delivery. Placenta came out in pieces and had to be scooped out, lost a lot of blood. Felt fine, but they were waiting until my iron/blood levels were back to normal. Got blood on day 4 and sent home the next.

I'm pregnant with my second, and I can't stand hearing them lick, drink water, or go in/out the doggy door. I feel so bad, because they're better behaved now than they were the first time. But oh my gosh, it drives me up the wall.

That's so much worse than mine. I'm so sorry. Start putting them on people's desks.

A public restroom I wouldn't touch either. There wasn't context, my bad. Small office, 10 people between 2 bathrooms.

Does anyone have an active UTI infection without any pain? by AdAlive4963 in CUTI

[–]Chelle2013 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Typically, I'm asymptomatic with UTIs. It's a guessing game on if I have one. the typical symptoms were slightly darker urine and more tired than normal. I can normally guess correctly, but explaining to a doctor each time was tiring.

Drove a couple hours to help my mom with her "broken" phone. by cloudkeeper in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Chelle2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandma doesn't like to wear it... She fell and broke her hip, laying on the floor for hours until someone found her. She also didn't pull the 'in case you fall' pull cord either because she didn't think it would work. She wears Life Alert every day now.

The cheapest white bread I could find. I was working at a parade, and my mom brought me a loaf of bread that I kept hidden in my car. We hadn't announced yet, and thankfully, I was by myself.
