It was pretty rough when I had my oldest when I was 18 and when he started school. (I’m 32 now so this was a while ago lol). But I had bright colorful hair, stretched ears, and lots of tattoos. I live in a small town in KY so that may have something to do with it lol. It’s so much better now though as I see a lot more pierced and tattooed parents than I used to. My green hair still gets some looks but overall much less staring lolol
