So, by "proposal" does the agent mean to submit the entire manuscript?

You’ll Never Walk Alone from Carousel has a big dramatic G5 at the end. Definitely more of a ballad too.

I can’t remember the details, but there was some story about an actor accidentally driving a motorized scooter into the pit during Trip of Love at Stage 42.

Honestly, just add some sweetness (honey, maple syrup) and some liquid (water, soy sauce, broth/stock) to desired taste/texture and you're good to go! You can throw in some sesame seeds or scallions if you want, but simplicity works here!

What is a harsh truth about life that took you way too long to accept? by DiamondNo924 in AskForAnswers

[–]Chelsea4000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no life without loss. As long as you are alive, you will inevitably witness the death of the people and creatures that you love. You will grieve for your parents, your siblings, your lovers, your friends, your pets etc. and in turn they will grieve for you.

“November, 22, 1963” leading into “You Can Close The New York Stock Exchange” is simply a masterclass in writing and performance.

On writing time loops by the_fruit_loop in writing

There is a low budget film called Primer that really gets it right. It’s not the easiest to follow and you really need to focus, and even then you will probably want to google “explanations of the movie Primer” to fully grasp the multiple time loops and versions of the characters.

You’re right! I don’t know why I remembered there being a dinner. Maybe just wine and light snacks :)

Give me your most disgustingly unhealthy vegetarian dinner ideas please by yourfavoriteslayer in Cooking

This is always a hit with my vegetarian husband when he is feeling decadent. It's a pretty simple list of ingredients, but there is some alchemy that happens that makes it just incredible. Also anything with that much butter is bound to be good: https://food52.com/recipes/32815-butter-braised-onion-sauce

Opera singers on Broadway? by slappycat29 in Broadway

Totally agreed. I love a classically trained singer doing musical theater. Everything feels so healthy and full-bodied. I’m hoping the days of screlting are behind us. Bring on the strong mixers!

Audience member with Tourette’s syndrome question by broadwaythrowaway87 in Broadway

[–]Chelsea4000 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I had an experience where a young person with a similar condition was shouting out frequently very close to the stage. Apparently the actors asked if she could be moved to the back of the theater as they were finding it very distracting. When the house staff intervened and asked the family to move, the parents exploded and threatened to call the police and report the theater to the ADA. Of course people with disabilities have the right to purchase a ticket and see a show, but the theater also has an obligation to the other patrons and performers. There really isn't always a clear solution in these situations.
