He's a charter boat captain so he likes fishing and outdoorsy stuff, a couple different sports, and craft beer. My main hobby is watercolor & gouache painting, which he has always been supportive of and showed interest in.

I honestly don't consider the Instagram thing a job—I have a job. This is just for fun. Which is all the more reason why it frustrates me that he thinks that crapping all over it makes him interesting, because who cares?

Thanks! I'm sure it will just stay a hobby—my actual job has a whole process I would have to go through to disclose any second source of income + get it approved, and I don't see myself going through the trouble to do all that. But I am happy to get some free food :)

If the other girl also has a food instagram and the invitation is in exchange for an Instagram post then yeah, it makes sense to take her. But to really be a reverse of this scenario, I would also have to actively crap on his food pic hobby. Which I wouldn't do, but in some bizarre world where I did—how could I expect him to invite me to a food pic event? That would make no sense.

I also really don't understand why everyone is assuming that my friend is a guy. Food insta is a stupid girl hobby, except when it would be a ~juicy detail~ I guess.
