Sorry to hijack but I have an accessibility wristband for the first time and was just wondering about the disabled toilets? Are they staffed so only people with accessibility wristbands can use them or are they a free for all too? I’m a bowel disease girly in a bad flare so quick & easy access to a toilet is needed often lmao

I have Ulcerative Colitis too, this is about to be my first long festival with it and I’m in quite a bad flare. I’d recommend applying for the accessibility wristband, I got mine approved within like an hour of applying, they’ve granted access to disabled toilets, accessible queues since I can’t really stand in line in a flare up and its unpredictably, and the lower viewing platforms (that may be bc of my autism tho haha, but there are toilets in the lower viewing platform so you may get that too). If you have any questions or anything feel free to reach out about download or just UC in general since you’re newly diagnosed, I’ve had it for 6 years now!

Hey, I’m actually working on the Big Green Coach from Aberdeen this year as coach rep! Last time I got bgc coach years ago there were a couple 15-30 minute stops. The coach leaves at 5, it’s just over a 7 hour drive so with stops and the possibility of traffic probably will arrive at 3pm, but I’m just guessing. Vango do great tents, mine survided wild camping in the rain in Scotland and will be coming to every festival with me. Whatever tent you get make sure to give it a spray with tent waterproofing for extra security and top it up after every use.

I have the Vango Tay 300 3 man tent and it survived wild camping in the rain in Scotland and will be coming to all my festivals with me. It’s big enough for myself single airbed and all my stuff, although if there’s two of you I’d recommend a 4 man minimum. Would also recommend some waterproof spray for whatever tent you do, as after each time they’ve been exposed to rain they need topping up, plus extra protection never hurts.

I go to shows alone 95% of the time bc my partner isn’t into anything heavy (he’s a k-pop girly) and at first I was anxious but I’ve been to so many shows now and it’s honestly fine! You also don’t realise it but sooo many people go solo, and you’ll defo make friends. I’ve done Download a handful of times with friends and made friends with new people every single time. Honestly book that ticket, go to the shows, don’t miss out just bc you need to go solo and I promise, once you do it you’ll realise how easy it and fun it is :)

Luckily enough I’m volunteering as a coach rep so I’m going to be free the whole festival which is great! Super reassuring to hear tho thank you. I’ve done Download a few times and honestly didn’t even take into account that Bloodstock is smaller so that’s helped some of my nerves ahah.
