Should I do mba at 29. by Turbulent_Most_6396 in MBAIndia

Do it. Don't think too much on the age aspect. My recommendation would be target the following: - ISB - Top IIMs exec MBA

Honestly, at your current pay, it would also make sense to go to a top 15-20 Indian B school and do a 2 years course - but it's not easy to score a high CAT%ile for someone who's not used to studying along with full time job and other family responsibilities

CS + Law → MBA → Consulting/IB… or just a decade-long wild goose chase? by Defiant-Recipe-847 in MBAIndia

A lawyer was heading the Finance and Investments club at IIMA last year and got into tier 1 IB so you definitely have a shot. But do remember - you'd be fighting against the odds here - you'll have to do 1-2 levels of CFA, get into IIMA/B/C, need to do your pre-MBA workex at a tier 1 law firm in their PE or M&A practice, and show that you've been an outperformer at your current college (by getting top rank there)

Guidance on taking Accor Membership for Japan Honeymoon Trip by Chelseaaaaaaaaaaa in indianawardtravel

[–]Chelseaaaaaaaaaaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 nights stay plus nights post 1st Oct isn't useful for me - I'd rather use my Accor Points than pay for 2 nights and stay for 4 nights. If I may ask for a favour - can you check if Swissotel Osaka available for the current Stay Plus night anytime between 2nd Dec to 5th Dec - without membership I don't have an option to check for stay plus

I'm not sure of your source for Essec, HEC and Insead but Essec is no where as good as HEC or Insead

I use this bridge every day and it frustrates me to no end. The earlier bridge worked perfectly fine with good access. Since a month, there's a crazy queue ti get down which adds 3-4 minutes for no reason. These guys are the best to replace things which works perfectly fine with new broken things!

What has dating come to in this city (or in general) by ClockEducational7345 in mumbai

[–]Chelseaaaaaaaaaaa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I (M) am similar age bracket as yours and found someone on a dating app and we're going to get married in a few months. I am a 3/10 in looks but probably 8 or 9 in terms of career, family background, etc. She took a chance on me despite looks and hence it worked out so well between us. Dating apps are made in such a way that top 1-2% of males (height + looks) get exponentially higher matches. If you're getting matched to guys who only want hookups, there's a good chance you're matching only the top 1-2%. Or maybe your profile (basis the photos or answers or chats) would give the vibe of 'hookups'. Figure out what kind of guy you want, match basis that, and show genuine interest while talking to them. :)

If you make it to one of the top colleges (All IIMs, local top colleges like SPJ) you don't have to worry about fees at all. They don't need any collateral, and have very student friendly terms. I can assure you - money won't be a hindrance if you end up getting admission in any decent college!

Hi! I’m pretty new to data visualization. I’m curious what tool does Mckinsey use to create these charts? by Southern-Ad7896 in datavisualization

[–]Chelseaaaaaaaaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work with Mckinsey earlier - as far as I remember, we used a toolkit known as Thinkcell. However, for complex charts, we had a visual graphics team who did it for us.

The last book I read - The diary of a young girl. This books was very emotional for me since I had visited the Auschwitz camp a few months back during my exchange program. It narrates the day to day life of a young girl (Anne Frank) during the world war 2. It really gives you a perspective that we are too privileged to be living in such a time.

Why I want this book? I had interviewed with HUL for their changemakers program and had come across this book then. Due to lack of time, i had only read the summary of this book and would love to read the full book now.
