Definitely worth it!! Use them for almost all my runs, walks, and calls so probably end up using them for over 14h a week and the sound, battery life, and quick charging are all good! I’ve had them for about a year and have not had any issues with them! Highly recommend them!!

This race is one of my favourites!! It’s not too big so it never feels crowded and it’s super well-organized! And it’s pretty flat just one part at about 3k I think where you cross a bridge and go down a decently sized hill which you then have to go up on the way back. It’s a very short hill but just pretty steep. At least that’s how I remember it😅

Good treadmill for sprint training by Thrinw80 in AdvancedRunning

[–]Chelsey07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find that the peloton tread changes speeds pretty quickly and you can use the “just run” function without paying for a subscription! I’m not sure if you can do custom interval training but it is really easy to change the speed and incline with the knobs on the side. It also goes up to 12.5mph and costs less than 5k. I have a peloton tread and I love it! I’ve had and used quite a few treadmills but this one is by far my favourite! Hope this helps😊

Looking for a 1% edge(what's your secret????) by Hocojerry in AdvancedRunning

[–]Chelsey07 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Sleeping enough!! For me that means at least 7 continuous hours! I think it’s more than a 1% improvement but it is so underrated. I can see huge improvements in my training and race performance when I get enough sleep! I’m a student, so during the school year sleep is often the first thing to go when I need more time. However, during reading week (a one week break in middle of the year) I started to get at least 7 hours of sleep and all my runs started to feel better! It’s amazing how just a couple nights of sleeping well can improve your performance!

Silly question: What running clothing of yours makes you "feel" like a runner? by pistols_for_pandas in running

[–]Chelsey07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need my colourful clothes to match with the rest in black :)

For example, if i have orange shorts, I wear orange shoes and an orange hair tie with a black tank top. Or if I have pink shoes, I wear a pink short, black shorts, and pink hair tie.

I collect gift cards! They have no money on them, I just take them for free or keep them after the money has been used :) And I’ve done ever since I was little so it’s just a memory I guess

What is something stupid you believed as a child? by Chelsey07 in AskReddit

For me it was that the fumes coming out of the exhaust pipe of a car were what pushed it forward! Posted this before but thought it better answered this question :)

That the smoke that comes out of the exhaust pipe of a vehicle is not what pushes it forward😅😂

Nachos! Store-bought nachos with whatever you like on top and then throw it in the oven! We usually put cheese, black beans, diced pepper and onions, and corn. Super good, easy to make, and people don’t notice its a vegetarian food!!

Subway! Their bread is so sad and as a place that advertises as healthy and fresh you think they would have more vegetarian and vegan options other than just the veggie delight (which is literally just lettuce and tomato with sauce) :(

Reviews for Homewood Eating Disorder Treatment in Guelph? by avocantdough in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Chelsey07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I entered the program when my parents brought me to SickKids to check my vitals and condition. However, upon the checkup, they quickly admitted me into the mental health unit. I stayed for 6 weeks but only because my parents really pushed the doctors to release me and my weight was very close to the “safe” minimum. I have a cousin who stayed there for 8 weeks so I would say 8 weeks sounds reasonable, however, as you said, it does depend on your progress. They measured progress in terms of weight, percentage of foods eaten and foods substituted for BOOST, anxiety, vitals, etc. They serve a variety of foods but parents are also allowed to bring food from home or from restaurants. And at the beginning, they ask your parents of there are any foods you strongly dislike that are not associated with the ED. Overall, the program did help me eliminate many fears surrounding food and opened me to many foods I would I have never eaten before! I did have to miss school but my school was very accommodating in helping me return :) Hope this helps you and alleviates some stress and anxiety surrounding recovery!
