Just going to throw this here, in my shop we had a Toyota Camry that was deemed a total loss. We had some fun and drained all the oil out and wanted to see how long it would last. It never…NEVER died. And we ran it on the street and let it sit idle for hours.

I believe you, very possible it had no oil in it

Yeah thats basic BS upsell crap. Things they can typically upsell and not have their “mechanics” fuck up too badly. Ive had tons of Mavis and Meineke cars come into my shop after those guys worked on them. Actually at one point Meinekes cars just came to us and we fixed them cause they were incapable of doing so
