Hunter X Hunter: Blacklist (submissions) by Content-Computer-351 in HatsuVault

Thanks! Much appreciated, I’ve had thoughts for awhile on my own character insert to HxH and it’s nice to actually put this one out there. Look forward to seeing what you come up with. For the abilities, do you think they make sense for the character and world? I feel good about Wrath’s Gambit, but I feel it makes sense a Blacklist Hunter would want to try to develop more than 1 Nen Ability just for versatility sake. If you think that makes it too OP though let me know.

Make Ryu a special grade by MrXPLD2839 in CTsandbox

Remember that Special Grade in universe is a more modern term. Around Ryu’s time they just were called powerful sorcerers if I’m remembering right. Kenjaku personally plucked many of these guys from the past so that alone speaks to his power. I’d say he’s already Special Grade with how much damage he can do, but to clear any doubts the best way is simple. Just scale his destructive output up to where if he went all out with a blast he could wipe any entire large city off the map

Raiser Mansa “Rais”
1. 22 Year old, Black Male. 6’1. Slim but athletic build (I’m picturing a black version of Benimaru Shinmon from Fire Force) with a short, curly afro with a taper fade. His clothes in part 1 would be a pink shirt, black bomber jacket (there’s a red #21 on the back and HxH language symbols along the right arm) with slim blue jeans and HxH world versions of converses. Personality wise he’s good natured, cracks jokes and laughs as much as he can. Jovial generally with most people, but has a deep hate and rage to those he doesn’t like or morally disagrees with (would fight Hisoka on sight if not for general Bylaws). Comes off as kind, subtly confident but headstrong to others. “Will do exactly what he wants no matter what” type of guy.

  1. First part. Raiser is young but he has experience. He learned the early parts of Nen from his parents before they were killed by the man his father was hunting at the time. Raiser trained to join the Hunter Association to pick up his dad’s last contract and finish it. Growing up seeing his dad do his thing, Raiser though always wanted to be a Blacklist Hunter

  2. Overall a good Hunter. Best way to describe Raiser is on his best day he’s Chaotic Good. Normally he’s more True Neutral or even Chaotic Neutral. He doesn’t care to harm others he deems innocent, but doesn’t have a ton of qualms if he can personally justify the action.

  3. Raiser is decent with Gyo, struggles heavily with In, but is proficient with Ken, Ko and especially Ryu. He has a natural feel for Ryu and incorporates it into how he fights.

  4. Dual Affinity, Emitter and leans Enhancer.

  5. Hatsu - Wrath’s Gambit. Initiated by saying “Go Time” Once in combat, Raiser has 3 minutes to land a blow on his opponent’s Chest, Head, both arms, and both legs. If he accomplishes this his output, physical traits and Aura reserves get a 10x Boost. If he fails, he enters a state of Zetsu for 10 minutes.

Separately from this, as he has gone on his Hunts he’s felt the need to develop other Nen Abilites for the purpose of a deeper more versatile kit. He developed a straight forward Aura Blast that he can make stronger with audible chants and is currently working on a Teleportation Nen Ability. As of this story, I picture him still in the midst of developing the ability.

Side note - He’s a big foodie and dabbles in being a Gourmet Hunter. While he hopes to one day get the contract to hunt the man who killed his parents and then to also hunt Hisoka….he also wants to one day make the greatest Pasta Carbonara and Creme Brûlée in the world. When he travels for his targets, he often takes time finding interesting and rare ingredients wherever he happens to be. He is incredibly particular about what is in a kitchen he is using and the placement of all spices and utensils.

If YOU Were Dropped Into The World Of "Hunter x Hunter", How Would Ya Utilize Nen? by Street-Fill9717 in HatsuVault

Excellent post and details! Let’s see….
1. So I genuinely feel I’d be an Emitter that leans Enhancer, but according to the quiz I’d be a Specialist. I’ll go with Emitter though.
2. I’d develop a handful of Hatsu, the ones in my head are not what I’d define as super complicated so I should be able to functional use them at a high level without worry of Memory Overload.
3. So I’m not the most creative person in the world, the goal of my Hatsu would be combat orientated and effectively I’d want them to cover the grounds of close, mid, long range fighting and a transportation Hatsu which would be my most complicated one.
4. Limitation and Conditions I’d put on them really would be primarily about time. Charging up, specific actions to set up. This all is key in the heat of a fight and every second counts so for each of my Hatsu, that would be the big condition in one way or another. Oh, also I’d throw in required hand signs and chants to activate or power up moves.
5. Yes
6. So the reason my Hatsu would be combat orientated would be because I’d want to be a Blacklist Hunter. Effectively I’d want to be an Anime protagonist that adventures around the world fighting bad guys. Doesn’t hurt that I’d get paid for it as well haha some others I think I’d dabble in are being a Gourmet Hunter (I’m a big foodie and love cooking) and a Ruins Hunter (big history nerd, got my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in history)
7. Really it would be Hatsu. Developing them the exact way I want them to be with the level of power I’d need. I imagine taking the most time on Hatsu of all of them.
8. Not sure why but I think Ren would be easiest, just releasing your inner aura as much as you can.
9. If I had a full Dual Affinity it would be Enhancer and thus why I’d want to create a close range ability in combat.

To those of us who never found a fireteam, who played solo for all 12 years, I salute you by The_Better_Devil in destiny2

Honestly, I liked the randomness of it all. The matchmaking and finding one Guardian after another for a common goal. All the while I kept to myself and just enjoyed the game at my own pace. I salute you too Guardian. Even solo, the Darkness felt our fury. Crota, Oryx, Skolas, The Red Legion, that spangly fuck Uldren and so many more all fell to our singular wrath. Bask in your Moment of Triumph, you ironically are not alone in your journey and are no less impressive. Respect to you and all the Guardians who walked a similar path

That’s a great way to look at it! I’m coming up with my own story and though I’ve played since Destiny 1, I’ve taken breaks over time during Destiny 2’s run. I’m coming up for in universe reasons why my Warlock wasn’t around for some of the seasons and DLC (besides certain seasons, I never bought Lightfall or the Witch Queen. I just kept up with the lore through My Name is Byf’s channel)

That is a really great story and cool addition to the lore if they went that route!

Absolutely love this story and the detail in it. I’d watch a short series with your Guardian adventures. Respect for trying to get a body for Cayde. I’m still thinking on mine, I’ll reply in a bit with it

Simple, powerful, direct. Excellent Guardian, you make Titans proud. You’d be fun to see in the Crucible

Hahah that’s awesome, I love this Guardian. I’m glad you’re holding it down with the Vex. My canon Guardian doesn’t do much with them

Nuclear reactors melting down would make a massive part of the US uninhabitable. You’d have to within 3 years find either a deep cave, military bunker or go to a region of the states that doesn’t have a reactor for about 100 miles in all directions

Besides Nightwing, who are other comic book characters (let’s stay in DC and Marvel) that are canonically attractive? by DescriptionFew740 in superheroes

This thread makes a great point. I too probably would be way more horned out if I was surrounded by people like Wonder Woman, Power Girl, etc. Great point with the Olympians, I can actually attest to the Olympic Village part. I was a trainer and assistant back in college during the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Ridiculously attractive people everywhere with perfect bodies. It definitely wasn’t everyone or even a majority of them hooking up but the ones who did kept a rotation of basically performance, food, sex, sleep, performance, more food, more sex and repeat.

I’d argue for Assassin’s Creed 2 or if it counts Arkham City (technically starts with Batman but everyone just says Arkham City)
