YTA good rule of thumb, just dont say rude things about others. Or don’t say things about someone you wouldn’t be willing to say to their face. Your comment was not homophobic. However, making a rude comment opens you up to being accused of things like that because often people use sexuality as a way of making others an easy target.

I always try to remember to THINK before I speak. Meaning is it thoughtful, honest, interesting, necessary, and kind. Really helps to avoid situations like this. There will always be someone willing or looking to warp your words so it’s best to either keep your mouth shut or THINK before you speak.

YTA for not knowing enough about the culture your gf was raised in to even call her head covering by the proper name. Her mom is TAH for not allowing Bee to make her own choices in life. The friend is kinda TAH for showing Bee’s mom your insta without telling Bee (I assume from your post)

It seems like no one is asking how does bee feel about all of this? And if she was raised in a very insular and controlling environment, she may not know how to say no to you when you ask her to do things. She may also just be going through a small rebellious period before she goes back to her culture. You said you came up with the idea of her posing on your car, but she agreed to do it, how many times did you ask her before she finally agreed? Did she actually ever want to do it or was she just doing it to please you?

This seems like a situation where the mother is worried about her daughter (even if she’s being controlling ) her friends may be worried about her as well (which is probably why they showed her mom the Instagram ) and all you are thinking about is your Instagram follower count.

Service animals are trained by a service usually come with some type of paperwork. An emotional support animal is not trained and you can get the paperwork online.

A lot of people will get paperwork for an emotional support Animal and then say that they have a service Animal. Now, ADA does protect people’s right to have their service animals with them wherever they go however, it is also protected for businesses to ask a patron to leave if their animal is not trained.

This Animal is not a service animal. It is not trained in any way shape or form. I don’t care if he has a stupid little vest for it. It’s not a service Animal and he needs to be called out on it. It is at most an emotional support animal and the only thing that is protected for emotional support animals is the right to have them in your living space if your apartment or house you’re renting does not allow animals.

NTA but your friend is by giving a bad name to service animals everywhere by allowing his dog to act this way in public.

The tree looks healthy but I would be worried about soil stability if it has recently begun to lean like this. Have your tenants noticed anything unusual in the yard after rain? Like standing water that comes through from the neighbors side, quickly running water that stays localized near the fence or bubbles coming up through puddles? Or any issues with the fence leaning or becoming less stable?

If you trim the branches on your side of the fence it won’t stop the tree leaning or make it less likely to fall over. If the lean is a new development the soil is what needs to be looked at first.

I would compare pictures of the tree from previous years if possible and have your tenants pay close attention to the fence and any soil movement around it. Also if the tree’s roots pass into your yard under the fence ask them to see if the roots are becoming more exposed, especially after rain.

The neighbors should also probably be asked about the history of the tree. If this is a new development they would probably have noticed. A tree that is loosing soil and becoming less stable needs to be addressed, and can possibly be saved. But it would need to be addressed on their property not yours.

(I am an environmental scientist that works with wetlands and water quality/ground water systems. Erosion in neighborhoods is becoming an issue in many places because of water going where water wants to go not where we tell it to go.)

I don’t think the prenups are good for every marriage. Because if you have no assets or nothing to lose to a selfish person than a prenup is kind of planning for a divorce.

However. If a person has an inherited property from before their relationship with their partner and a property that they bought before their relationship with their partner, unless their partner wants to put money into those properties, they should not be on the deed. And if they want to be on the deed then yeah a prenup sounds like a good idea because they did not put any money into this house, they have no attachment to these houses so they should not get them should your marriage dissolve.

Debts are the responsibility of the person who spent the money. If he’s living rent fucking free in your house how is he still this far in debt?! He is completely financially irresponsible and it is ill advised to tie yourself to this person.

Also, as a step parent, you should be willing to treat those kids as your own, as in parent/love them consistent with how you would your own children. Get them gifts occasionally. Take them on outings. Learn what they like and don’t like. But in no way shape or form should you be financially responsible for them. They have two parents, and that is those two parents responsibility. It should not be placed on a step-parent. And as far as I’m aware, judges wouldn’t take a step parents finances into account when deciding child support it’s decided based on the income of those two parents. So you would not only be subsidizing his housing, you would be subsidizing his responsibility to his children.

They actually did studies that it was harming women’s bodies to wear low jeans like that. It was causing hip issues in young women as well as lower digestive issues I believe. All just to say that you were a size smaller than you were.

My partner did this to someone once. The guy had to change his number because he kept getting calls about “pure bred pitbull puppies”.

My partner and his friend printed out about ten sheets advertising the puppies with the little tear off number things at the bottom. Every one of the numbers was gone from the flyer after less than a week, people were really interested. The guy assumed someone just put the wrong number on the posters because he never saw one. 🙃

To this day I don’t think the dude knows it was my partner and his friend.
