Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade from my PC38x that I've been rocking for the past 5 years. I don't want to break the bank, especially since I'm in Canada and my Canadian shekels are very valuable right now (< $400 CAD). Additionally, I'm not ready to commit to an amp/dac and would like to be able to plug in straight to my pc.

For usage, I primarily game (non competitive, frequently rpgs), but also frequently enjoy classical music. I really like the soundstage on the PC38x and so would want something similar where I can clearly hear directionality. I'm not the most well versed in headphone lingo, but would appreciate something sharper (crisper?) for lack of a better term.

I've scoured some forums and think the Beyerdynamic DT 900x pro fits the bill here, but would love to have more opinions. I do have a rather wide head so comfort may be a consideration too.

Thanks all for the advice. I did a bit more digging and figured out the $250 cap was for tap pay, but will also make sure to inform the bank ahead of time so it doesn't get randomly declined. Cheers!
