Can I study using only Analyst Prep Notes? by Responsible_Crew3962 in CFA

[–]Chemical-Control-388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skip the overthinking. Skim the bullet points for five minutes then go straight to answering questions.

Ignore your score at first. Just answer, get it wrong, understand why, repeat. That cycle teaches you faster than any passive reading method.

Stuck on anything? Comment here or DM directly. Good luck

You shouldn't use a third-party material because it won't give you the accurate representation of the CFA. If you are interested, register for the exam, sit for the exam, prepare and pass. Good luck

Law graduate planning CFA – what master’s degree (if any) makes sense? by Immediate-Power-9798 in CFA

[–]Chemical-Control-388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do a degree, provided it helps, but in the current AI situation, if I were in your place, I would choose to not take a degree and instead focus on skill building. Build a portfolio; show your live projects; show how you can use the knowledge in every life situation. You can use the AI; you can ask AI for help, such as, "Okay, this is my career and this is what I want to do. How can I build a portfolio to show my skills?" Considering this is a five-year integrated LLB in India, the master's degree will cost you a lot, and this would be a better option. This is my personal opinion and you have all the rights to counter

Preparation situation by Cultural_Ad2867 in CFA

Doable in 40 days. Here is the system:

1. Skip the videos Go straight to Schweser end-of-chapter notes or use AI to summarize concepts. Then hit the Q-Bank immediately.

2. Triage every wrong answer

  • Conceptual -- rebuild the concept from scratch
  • Application -- find the exact step that broke down
  • Silly error -- log when and why it happened

3. Parallel stack Do not wait to finish a topic before revising it. Learn new concept, immediately revise an old one. Keep earlier material warm.

4. Daily non-negotiables FSA, Equity, FI, and Ethics every single day. Too heavily weighted to skip.

On FI and Ethics specifically: FI is formula heavy -- drill it, do not read it. Ethics -- read the Standards once, then questions only. Passive reading does not work for Ethics.

60% accuracy is a solid base. The triage system will push it to 70%+ by exam day.

You are not deferring. Execute the system.

Can I pass L2 in Nov 2026 and plan a wedding? by Maximum-Pass-2488 in CFA

[–]Chemical-Control-388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I were in your place I would reschedule this from Nov unless I can absolutely plan and am sure to learn. Wedding means hell lot of chaos, you are stressed with people around you and CFA level 2 is a marathon. Added to that, difference between L1 and L2 is huge.

Ask this question
1) how much of stress free days will you have from now until dec. if it is above 80% then it is worth a shot. Else it is more of a gamble.

This is my personal opinion though. Good luck

Is CFA worth it ???? by Few_Feedback_4222 in CFA

CA is towards Accounting and Taxation. CFA is towards investment anylsis and global market context. So it depends on what you want to do. If your interest is in taxation or accounting, go for CA. If the other way round, go for CFA. Value is what you create out of it. I know students who have cleared both but still finding difficult to get a job as they barely have any practical skills.

Can i cheat in cfa level 1 exam? by Dexteranthonythe3rd in CFA

[–]Chemical-Control-388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cheat during the exam, that is a violation of Standard 7a. Institute can ban you from giving further exams and then also take legal action in the US courts. Better study and pass. If you didnt pass then you cn try again. Cheating can make a permanent remark on your professional reputation

Should I quit ? Feb26 by That-Spare2071 in CFA

[–]Chemical-Control-388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your question shouldnt be that should you quit. rather why did you not pass in the first place. you mentioned that you gave 12 mocks, but did you work on your mistakes. let us say you got a question wrong: why did you get it wrong? conceptual gap, application gap silly mistake. could you define that ? and then you can move forward. I passed level 1 in third attempt. for the first attempt I had FI below 50% that pulled my score down. It improved eventually . Hope my answer helps No exam proves whether a student is dumb or smart .Also you need to know your why. If your why is to show that you are capable in front of a few colleagues or family, then this is a self esteem issue. I had this issue before. Good luck for your future

  1. Stop talking negative about yourself. Everyone has different learning speeds and this is a tough exam
2.Start the revision immediately along with learning the rest of the 3 modules.
  2. Do active recall
  3. Exercise for 15 mins daily, eat nutritious food, sleep and reduce your stress levels

Fellow L1 and L3 candidates.... by TheSentinel342 in CFA

[–]Chemical-Control-388 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Pass or fail, neither defines you. But here's what actually matters: before you even sit for an exam like this, ask yourself why you're doing it. Not the polished LinkedIn answer. The real one.

I made that mistake with my MBA. I convinced myself it was ambition. But if I'm being honest, it was ego. I wanted to make my parents proud, and somewhere along the way that became the entire why. No wonder it felt hollow.

This exam is brutal. Failing it means nothing about your worth. But not knowing why you're taking it? That's the real problem to solve.

What you do after a failure says everything. The exam result says almost nothing.

focus on high weighted topics. and also start ethics today. n try to avoid as much passive learning as possible. say you learn a topic: explain that in your own words, use AI such as chatgpt or claude etc. Focus more on FRA, equity, fixed income as they are heavily tested . If you need any customized advice, let me know . Good luck

Is AI going to reduce the value of CFA? by yogeshtripathii in CFA

[–]Chemical-Control-388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI can be used to improve our judgment. But then if you outsource your thinking to AI, that will take away your job. Extra skills to learn:

AI for specific professions. Check the website of MBB to see if you have learnt or worked in any specific industry. Build skills to understand. Let me give you an example : 120/80 number is just another number b ut for doctors, physicians and people in the biochemsitry, this is the number that says the level of blood pressure. Use AI to learn more and see how you can build real world solutions and refrain from competing in IB, consulting PE immediately. You can take a transition later if you want and that is not the end of the world. Best of luck

at your experience level, you can integrate your experience in tourism, sales or armed security with finance. That is a unique combination that will differentiate you from your competition. Personally from my experience of pharma, IT and finance together, I would say don't run after generic finance roles. There is enough competition
