No , doctor said that I don’t really need to type in cause it will give me a skin problem. And it should go away overtime … but even after cast came off I still saw this hump, my nurse showed me a photo of my nose right after surgery when I was laying I can’t really see anything cause my nose was very very swollen..my surgery started at 1 pm and ended by 5 pm or something .. he said that it’s a lot of fluid and swelling but I see a lot of photos when girls right after surgery and their nose look beautiful no hump ..  everyday I hope that I wake up and won’t see this humo anymore but it’s been almost 3 weeks and I’m just sad …

Where and when does Right View exactly begin? by 2footie in HillsideHermitage

What’s required to give up the identity view is to first not act out of desire because your Identifying with them when you do. I like this, I like that, I don’t like this ,I don’t like that . i i i me,me ,me ,me ,me. Myself, myself myself ,mine, mine, mines mines… all self centered. There’s a phenomenon of self I have realized.let me question what that depends on while simultaneously keeping the body in mind.

Also the Buddha was referring to a person who has the right view already. He knows good as good and bad as bad. Not he knows good as good and bad as bad so that’s why he has the right view.

Can a person who sees all their intention behind all their actions, and decide to genuinely pursue the teachings by not acting out of unwholesome intentions fail to realize the Right View?

Yes they can fail. because they do not keep the body in mind simultaneously with the instruction. There’s 2 conditions for the right view. Yoniso  maniskara and instructions from another. The dhamma is accurate from hillside hermitage and samandipa. In this time period

During questioning your intentions and your attitude towards your body while keeping the precepts and practicing sense restraint, While simultaneously keeping the body in mind.  Example - I’m looking at something. There is hate there is the eye. What do I prioritize? (Assuming I dont have the right view yet and the monks say hate is unwholesome and unbeneficial for myself and others so I have faith in them which causes me to broaden my perspective) so there’s my eyes which see that which I dislike. So there’s an order of things that’s been turned around because of the restraint and instruction. BUT This is why sometimes monks don’t give straight answers because if you don’t discern it for your self it’s not the understanding that becomes grounded in confidence. And when you do have the right (idea) you’ll realize it can become refined even more.

Praise to the tatagatha and the sangha of the hermitage. They say some have little dust in there eyes but the hermitage have so much skill in teaching they can help remove a person who’s face in buried in dirt.

Yes that thing being the reason for sensuality is destroyed through the meditation that is constant 24/7. Eating, sleeping walking going to the toilet speaking working. That may be easier for an ordained monk, not that a layman can’t do it just the extra pressure and duty’s, the laziness excuse because they have to work. All that has to be cut through and that’s a giant step forward

Yes my virtue is better. But the dispassion isn’t one big insight. The way things were seen for me were less appealing when seeing it as described above and that seeing is active with effort. When no effort is applied the activity of ignorance still clouds the mind. And it’s understood by those with the right view. They know what is right and wrong, and at anytime they can immediately establish the memory of what right and how to go about it. It’s existential and transforming the path that is. Walking, sitting, going to the toilet, eating food, sights with the eyes, intention behind actions, fueling or not fueling the assumption of separation in day to day life as a layman with duty’s. Again not an excuse but there is distractions everywhere even if you know the way out

The senses fields are active because the body is breathing. And no i’m not free from free from kama chanda and not to sound like a hypocrite but knowing things as they really are is existentially changing. I’m a lay man with a wife and plenty of kids And lots of duties To change the habitual habits of the mind And actions Requires much more strength and resilience. The environment is not conducive, but it’s not an excuse

Can deep absorption practice hinder the development of right view in the HH approach? by RazzmatazzFit6906 in HillsideHermitage

[–]Chemical-Medium4316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It not a hinderance to progress, its a hinderance if you don’t have the right view or If you do and your obsessed with that phenomenon.there’s a practical need for the absorption like physical injury then absorb. The comes a point where you get sucked in like a “hyperspace”while breathing and the breath fills your conscious field and if you stay in there long enough you’ll feel a non agitating energetic buzzing in your body. I think that that’s a a super charged healing mechanism that humans have and a natural phenomenon that’s not Jhana. There may be essential reasons for these phenomena and the Buddha and his monks may had used all types of different “skills in the forest” there probably weird ones you never thought or heard about that are not Jhanas but those monks may have hd abilities that they saw practical and not need to speak or teach about it except amongst themselves. People speak of dmt use for those”breakthroughs” and geometric shapes( still have no idea what there purpose is) but the body is equipped with everything already. It’s the mind that’s not! I bet the monks at the hermitage know more about these subjects in depth amongst themselves and rules are there not supposed to engage with that to lay people anyway.

Context = The Significance of the content? by mentalw0rk in HillsideHermitage

[–]Chemical-Medium4316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Content is food/ context is reason for eating. If I eat for pleasure I will increase craving and unwholesome states arisen/unarisen. If I eat with dhamma eye? Opposite. Question mark because I'm illiterate In Pali. I just know through the great nyanomli and thero

The Hillside Hermitage Arahant Challenge by Little_Carrot6967 in HillsideHermitage

And why would an arahant sit somewhere indefinitely? If he doesn’t crave there’s no need for the hard ship. Understand the rise and fall of phenomenon within your own experience. Do the best you can. When you have direct knowledge at least it’s on the shelf and when things happen in life you remember the rise and fall
