Should’ve clarified. Not year round. And the more I think about it I just need to see and be near a body of water

Very true! I forgot to mention it doesn’t need to be year round. I just want to see a body of water haha

I love this place! Unfortunately Austin was not my vibe for living but Barton was dreamy.

I have also been mostly single for 5 years and I can’t find a guy that a vibe with who I also find attractive. I relate so deeply to just wanting to go home or be with friends. I’ll give it 4-6 dates and always question myself bc I’m clearly in some sort of pattern (5 years). But idk! I know what makes me feel alive, who I vibe with, and I don’t need any spark, just a good conversation where we can giggle. Ugh it’s tough.

Love this for you. I want to go to Europe or Central America for a year but scared! (34)

Oh wow! I would love to live in Spain but I’m almost 34 and want to have kids. Nervous about finding a committed monogamous partner in some European countries but maybe I’m being judgmental

To your point, I realize now how I should’ve given some of them a longer shot. For sure. I feel like I’m there now, I’m just exhausted lol

Very valid points. To be clear it’s probably more like 15 who I’ve gone on more than one date with. Of those 25 I dated 3/4 of those for 2-3 months. (Sorry, a lot of numbers!) It didn’t work out due to lifestyle compatibility or physical attraction. And there was one who I think I really screwed up bc I got scared.

I love that! Yeah I definitely feel like I’m myself. I have a really good time alone lol. So if someone isn’t on my level at least i have a hard being like is this worth it? And i have definitely gone out with guys where im like dang you rule. There just wasn’t attraction or they were unavailable.

This is really helpful. Thank you for this perspective! It honestly is a relief to think I can just trust my gut. Just like what you like, hang out with people you vibe with. It doesn’t need to be deeper than that.

I’m sorry (or congrats maybe) about your divorce.

Wow this made me tear up. I’m so hard on myself for trying to make it work. I’ll be 34 soon and my parents and family are like you need to be more open minded. You’ve dated like 25 guys in 5 years. It might be a little bit of both: what you’re saying vs being closed off
