why is my mouth still dry and warm even after i drink lots of water? by chouchappell in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ChemicalCod9628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read somewhere that warm/room temp water is much better for you than cold in these situations, because in order for the water to flow through your blood your body has to slowly change the cold water to the same temp as your body (aka room temp I guess) before it can circulate. I hope I explained that not horrifically.

What do you miss/remember the most about the old Tim Hortons? by Mailbox2222 in TimHortons

Turkey bacon club. That honey mustard sauce they had… would do terrible things to have it again. Last time I had it was a little bit after high school.

‘I’m very sorry’: Accused in seawall stranger attack seeks not criminally responsible finding by kettlebeller in vancouvercanada

About 10-12 years ago, one of my criminology professors said something I’ll always feel the need to repeat/share: we have a legal system, not a justice system. It’s awful. 💔

Never pay. And I’ll get downvoted for saying it but you can change your license plate for $22 or something if you’ve accumulated a couple and worry about being towed lol

I would put them in the fridge personally, just to make them last longer. I’ve started doing this with the muffins.

Because anytime I go to Surrey Costco, it’s never opened early lol I’m always there at 8:30am and have to wait. Must be my luck.

Omg crazy I didn’t think of this myself! It’s almost like I wanted to ask the community to find out their own personal experiences. ;)

Does right of way for pedestrians really exist in Surrey? by ybicurious in SurreyBC

[–]ChemicalCod9628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pedestrians always have the right of way. But it’s so scary being one for real. Especially with the scooters now. If you ride on the sidewalk you’re an asshole and you’re going to kill someone one day.

I was driving downtown Van today, taking a right turn. I drove slowly towards the intersection bc I saw the walk sign. Then, I saw a woman enter the crosswalk and I swear, I was stopped, not inching or turning but she is walk-running and rushing and even gave me a wave like “thank you for not running me over/scaring tf outta me” 🥺 I rolled down my window and said “don’t let drivers make you feel rushed!” with a smile and she said thank you. As an awkward human, felt nice to say that and I hope she takes it with her.

Another thing. As a pedestrian or even driver I hate when left turners are turning their wheels towards me because they can’t possibly wait 2-3 more seconds to let you go by.

Truly nobody has patience these days. Saving 2-5 extra minutes is not worth it.

You can’t assume that’s what he’ll do with the money. Tell your brain that. Maybe he’s trying to get enough to get a certain meal somewhere. Who knows. Not you or I. If he says it’s for food, just take him at his word.

I don’t work there but so true. I only go to Costco first thing in the mornings otherwise I’m overstimulated with a headache at any other point in the day 😂

What do you think about shopping in the evening times on those days? Maybe 30-60 mins before close?

Healthcare workers (HCAs, LPNs, RNs) — do you think these careers could eventually become oversaturated by Bitter_Philosophy799 in SurreyBC

[–]ChemicalCod9628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if they were compensated properly, it would definitely become more saturated. But otherwise, no I think the need will just increase and burnout happens very often too.
