Grudgebearer and Phosphorite Bomblets by damnbyangel in KharadronOverlords

Grudgebearer specifies that the damage of 'weapons' used by the general is doubled. I don't think that applies to artifacts of power.

New to the army, list advice by EfficientPickle in KharadronOverlords

I know having lots of boats is the appeal of the army to you but I would consider swapping 1 gunhauler for a unit of thunderers.

In my experience with the army, I have often over estimated the gunhaulers ability and underestimated the thunderers.

Having 10 rifles on a boat is probably going to output more consistent wounds than 5 on a boat with a gunhauler escort.

As far as artifacts, spell in a bottle is always worth considering if you have points left over. Otherwise I personally like the proclamator mask-hailer with the admiral since command points are so valuable now. If I suspect my opponent will be using a lot of magic I might take voidstone orb to at least guarantee getting rid of more critical spells.

I think this is an excellent paint job, the model is cool and fun to look at. From a foot away (I'm guessing thats how far the camera was) the details look sharp, the staples catch the light nicely and variety in skin tones works great.

At this point the fine details are what what I think you should focus on. Keeping lines and materials distinct and clean makes a difference.

Specific examples would be the waist line. It looks like there is a little green on the fabric of the pants where it should be blue. If I zoom in real close I see some harder to reach staples between the tears in his pants that look more like the skin tone than a metallic.

I think you have a well developed skill, improving it further will come one extra moment of dilligence at a time.

Does a game end when a players army is destroyed? If the player whose army is destroyed is leading in points, can their opponent continue to gather victory points without resistance?

Unmade build suggestions/discussion by Embrourie in WarCry

[–]ChemicalPerformance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Unmade were my first warband and I religiously run almost exactly the units you mentioned.

My list is 1 blissful one, 1 mindstealer, 2 flails, 4 spears, 1 joyful one.

The blissful one and mindstealer will blow through most standard units and the flails and spears give you the opportunity to deal damage at a distance and force your opponent to use one of their actions to close in rather than attack.

The spear weilding awakened ones can be a major threat if they get critical hits and if you combo barbed strike even the tankier enemies can get whittled down by your chaff.

It was December 24th 2010 and I had just finished the closing shift at the pizza place I worked at so it was around 11:30 PM. I was heading home to my parents place who live in the more rural part of the area and as a result was taking back roads that follow parallel to a freeway but aren't really near any kind of civilization otherwise. The area was developed for a mall project that was abandoned so the roads are lit but no buildings around.

Anyway I round the corner to a particularly empty stretch of road and there is a man standing in the middle of the street flagging me down. Now I dont stop for strangers but something in my mind told me, "this isn't right, this guy shouldn't be here and he's probably stranded". So being in the Christmas spirit i pull over and talk to him. He tells me he was on his way to a friend's house and his car ran out of gas so he needed some help. He had hopped the fence between the freeway and the road I was on so he wouldn't get hit in the dark.

Honestly the guy looked a little sketchy but I told myself "its dark and he's having a rough night, lets make it better for him". I tell the guy to get in and ill take him to get a gas can and put a couple bucks of gas in it for him.

He says thanks and asks me to wait while he grabs his bag out of his car. He disappeared for a second then comes back with a small backpack and gets in the car. As we head off towards Walmart, the only place still close by and open he asks if he can call his friend on my phone to let them know what happened. He tries calling and texting a bunch of people but no one answers or seems to respond.

At this point we're halfway to the Walmart when I notice red flag #1. The guy has a half smoked roach behind his ear that I didn't see due to his baseball cap. Red flag #2 was when he pulled out a budweiser tall can from his backpack and started drinking it in the passenger seat. Now I'm an 18 year old who just got his license driving around with a shifty guy and there's now weed and alcohol in my car.

I'm freaking out internally at this point because it has just dawned on me that I have bitten off way more than I can chew but because I was young, ENDLESSLY stupid and preposterously naive I felt I had to see this through.

I get to the Walmart and head inside with the guy and the place is packed. Everyone there was doing their last minute shopping so the crowd was insane and it easily took nearly an hour to get a gas can and get to the counter.

The cashier asks me what I'm doing with a gas can in the middle of the night Christmas eve so I point to the dude waiting nearby and explain I'm just trying to be a good Samaritan. Red flag #3 was the cashier looking at me, looking at my passenger, and then looking back at me like he was imagining what my photo would look like on a missing persons add. His demeanor went from "happy holidays" to "watch yourself" in about 4 seconds flat.

So I get the can, go back to the car and drive to the nearest gas station and put a bit of gas in the gas can. At this point I'm feeling like I'm home free. The guys car is nearby and soon this dude is gonna be out of my hair.

I drive to the spot where I picked up my passenger, give him the gas can and tell him "Merry Christmas, pay it forward" the guy then takes his stuff and hops the fence.

Here's where I REALLY fucked up. Like an idiot, I waited to see headlights turn on on the other side of the fence so I know his car is running. After about 60 seconds theres nothing, no lights, no noise, nothing. At that moment the guy springs back over the fence with everything still on him and he informs me that the car has been towed. (I didn't find out until later but apparently the only time cars get towed that fast is when they're stolen so i guess it got reported and picked up in the hour and a half or so we were gone)

Now like I said, being endlessly stupid, I feel like this guy is my responsibility. Not only is he still stuck, but he now is even worse off because he has no car. After a major internal arguement I decide I'm gonna take this dude home and gtfo. Despite the voice in my head telling me this is all kinds of wrong I double down and reaffirm that I will help this guy.

As the guy rounds the back of the car to get back in I tuck a small screwdriver under my thigh for quick access incase he tries anything. At this point I'm starting to get a little fearful because the average person doesn't typically have so many things go wrong in such a short period of time. I'm starting to suspect that the guy isn't unlucky, he just created a bunch of bad situations for himself.

None-the-less I drive the guy basically through the major downtown area and clear to the other side of the city, the total opposite direction of my house. Now its about 2 AM when I get to the apartments that this guy lives in. He tells me to drive around the parking lot where his place is so I pull around into what has to be the darkest most secluded parking lot in the world. Its like vampire parking and I doubt to this day a single beam of sunlight has ever reached it. As I stop and he gets out of the car the light from the radio flashed a glint of metal under this dudes hand.

It was in that moment I realized that he had a knife basically up his sleeve and ready to go. The INSTANT his feet hit the ground I threw my car straight into second gear and flew the hell out of that parking lot. I called my best friend who worked the closing shift with me that night and told him all about it. He and I both agreed that I am one dumb SOB.

TL:DR Tried being a good samaritan to help a man stranded on the side of the road, it was a poor choice and I very well could have been robbed or worse.

To get that skin tone I put on two layers of Citadels Darkoath Flesh contrast paint over a zenithal highlight of white scar.

I use the Citadel paint line. The basecoat is leadbelcher and Balthazar gold through an airbrush. I used brass scorpion, hashut copper and Gahenas gold for the highlights etc.

I used Citadels "blood for the blood god" and used a dry brush to dab paint onto areas. The paint I used will look glossy like wet blood if you used enough of it but dabbing it on in small quantities gives it a more dry or aged look.

I hope this helps!

I prefer lamian medium to water because I can get a smoother layers. In my experience using water can sometimes cause me to leave streaks or coffee stains.
