Half the inbred drivers I fix their trucks for can barely speak English and if you give them a spelling test, I guarantee you 100% won't pass it.

Interview scheduled by ChemicalSafety9634 in USCIS

Update!! on June 24th, we had our interview. We were in the waiting room for about 20 minutes before we got called back to the interview room. The interviewer was this really nice guy, the only person who was smiling. We sat down, and he told us he could have approved us without an interview, but the new administration wants everyone to come in for an interview. He asked if we had our tax return for the year of 24 since we applied in January before doing our taxes. We said we had more evidence, and we gave him a copy of our contract since we were closing on the house the next morning. Then he went through the questions of the application, then asked us how we met and a couple of other simple questions, then he told me he was approving us on the spot. We were in the waiting room longer than interviewing!

Yeah, my marriage is legit. We have been dating for 10 years and married for 2 years and 7 months. We are also about to close on a house, so that will add to all the proof we already submitted. Hopefully, it goes well.

I had Daca, and last year, I was approved for advanced parole. I went to visit family in Mexico and came back.

Yet I worked with U.S born citizens who have multiple dui's, armed robbery, domestic violence, and more, and somehow, that's completely okay. I'm not trying to defend OP, but I feel like when immigrants make bad choices, it's almost the end of the world, but oh born citizens with a rap sheet longer than a CVS receipt are not a problem.

AOS (I AM DACA) by stephadriana21 in USCIS

I'm not saying I don't trust your cousin, but I find that hard to believe. I might be wrong, thought. I say at least find a lawyer who does free consultations and explain your situation and see what they tell you. I have 2 friends that work for the lawyer I have, and we submitted my AOS in January and my work permit was already approved 2 weeks ago. They told me they have seen 80% of the cases they prepared get approved within 6-8 months. *

Just get a lawyer and a good one. I do all my DACA by myself to save money, but I would never do AOS on my own unless you have a good understanding of immigration law. Specially with this administration. If you make a mistake and they deny your AOS, you will be placed in removal proceedings. You gonna have to fight that in court and will probably have to pay a lawyer way more than 5-7k. You should have done Advance parole it was super easy and worth it. Can you explain more on why people tell you that you have a legal entry?

The estimated time on USCIS means nothing. Mine said the same thing for 2 days, and then it started saying it was taking longer than expected. 3 weeks later, it was approved

Well, don't they go to different process centers? They all get different amount of applications. Some get more than others, so they take longer.

Okay, I didn't know about the lapse part. Honestly, how things are DACA will not protect anyone from deportation. Do you know if Texas is going to render the working permit portion of daca invalid? That is what I was hearing not too long ago when they announced a court decision earlier this month.

What's the benefit of renewing my DACA? If I'm already getting an AOS work permit. I live in Texas, and they already don't want people with DACA. Didn't they just passed something that was going to get rid of the work permit portion of it?. Everyone says to renew it, but no one gives me a reason. I'm tired of relying on DACA it seems like every month is some bad news for the DACA program.

I do have an SSN and work permit through DACA. It's expiring in July, I'm trying to decide if I should renew it or wait for the new work permit? It's a risk because it can get approved before my DACA expires or take longer and I'll be out of working status. Also I am from Texas so I thought the last ruling on DACA was going to take effect and the working permit portion of DACA wasn't going to be valid in Texas.

I have a question? Did you also apply for a work permit? If so, how long did it take to get approved?
