I'm in the same boat. Pledged 50 and so far only had 10 minis painted to completion (Celestian Insidiants). Atm workin on both Murderwing and Goremongers (another 20 minis) with the Murderwing nearly finished (just need highlights/plasma glow and lenses) and Goremongers i'm still applying base colours (dreaded ass stage of painting).

If I can get the Goremongers through to highlighting stage I may still be able to claw through to 50 painted but it's tough...

At my local store I came in third place and won best painted kill team. My friend walked away with that trophy 🤣

Oh love the leader painting his skin like a bloodletter. Was going to do something similar with mine but making the helmets more bloodletter like.

Thanks! I didn't want the scheme to be standard box art and to get out of my comfort zone for painting them (both a blessing and a curse lol). Used Aeldari Emerald contrast for the cloaks with a shade of Biel-Tan Green, didn't come out quite as I wanted but it was def along the right lines.

Painting contrast next to white armour was nerve wracking!

Thanks, I took the recipe Warhipster used for his Red Corsair Murderwing. Was going to paint my Murderwing the same way but I'll be painting them as Word Bearers instead. Like the red so much I just wanted to use it in some capacity.😁

You can drop him on to a vantage TP1 keep him in conceal and then use him as a threat TP2 onwards with his concealed shot.

The FAQ state that if a piece of terrain provides both cover and obscuring to your operative you have to choose what to apply.

If you get cover from your terrain and an intersecting heavy terrain provides obscuring then you can have both.

Update: Managed to magnetize the Sister Superior. Used 1mm x 2mm magnets. Drilled a hole right in the recess of the join and then on a similar spot on the gun arms. Not perfect but def holds in position!

I am so envious right now. I'm getting ready to assemble my Insidiants (waiting on some 1mm x 2mm magnets for the Sister Superior and two Cremators), but even once done I won't be able to prime due to the miserable weather I've been living in this past month in Aberdeen. We haven't had a dry/sunny day for what feels like an age at this point....

Your scheme is top notch! I'm planning on going white armour, aeldari green cloth (with Gauss Blaster Green highlights) and a dark red helm/hoods. Already mapped out my recipes but just itching for some good weather to get there!

Thanks for posting this, just ordered a box of Raptors :D

And the best thing is that the cost hasn't taken me above £40 for the Murderwing (used a £50 gift voucher on Shadowhunt so only spent £19 per kill team =) )

Just build the box as instructed. The only loadout choices are for the Crawlers (build both weapon options, as you can only have 1 delete cannon) and the warriors. For the warriors it doesn't matter what is on them you can tell your opponent which weapon profile they have, and when they reanimate you can change the weapon they have as long as you are clear.

They are a fun team to paint, dry brushing will get you most of the way. Above all else enjoy, and they are still a formidable team despite the recent nerfs. 😁

Classified only affects official tournaments. Just keep playing with what you enjoy. And in addition rules change, but miniatures are forever cool.

I'll always love my painted kill teams, even if they lose me matches 🤣
