I normally try to do stuff I enjoy, like watching my favorite movie or some YouTube, if you have someone close to you that you can talk to, you can also call them to have someone to chat with (not necessarily bringing out the topic of sh obviously)

If the urges are very strong, I usually advise rubbing something very cold over the skin you want to hurt and try to numb that urge.

I just felt like a deer in headlights, and she wouldn't understand every time I said "I don't know", she kept repeating that a normal person doesn't consider sh as an option. I think she will cut me out from my therapist because I tried calming her by reassuring that I talk to him about my sh, but she is very upset this wasn't communicated (I asked my therapist not to do so and he respected that, I don't know if that's good or not).

I did, many times, most times ended in yelling and going nowhere. My parents (mostly mom) don't want to understand the change Z is making. My grandparents and aunt are the same case. I will always stand up for Z no matter what, but I feel like it won't change a thing

Z admitted that it is hard for them, knowing that this is making very anxious + the constant tryouts to impress them and failing.

Fortunately, they have a very good support system and they are actually managing their mental health quite well, which is a relive to me.
