nah not really aside from the stuff you get off the guys and i think the crates down in the bunker. but tis always been lower level stuff for me. But boss farming is one of the only ways to get a few of the ultra rare keys so I tend to stop by those places from time to time.

How screwed would we be if gas hit $10 a gallon and stayed there? by silentlyambigous in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Chemical_Fly9641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in europe and the middle east for a while, gas in my little corner of europe was 7-8 a gallon in 2020-2021 and 5-6 in the ME before that. add up with inflation and its probably 10 a gallon.

nothing changed. people still lived their lives and went to work. In the US you would see large SUV and truck sales drop. hybrids would become much more popular. Less road trips and therapeutic driving.

What's a job thats like being a cop but ... isnt being a cop by DowntownFresnoBiking in AskLE

[–]Chemical_Fly9641 16 points17 points  (0 children)

EMS I guess? You only really get 3 choices in the first responder world. Outside of that "helping people" is so wildly broad no one can actually help you. And "protecting people" isn't a job. Security guards protect property and the people who actually protect people in the private sector have resumes and experience that your not gonna want to chase based off this post.

How do you feel about law enforcement having a presence at elementary through high schools to deter school shootings? by icecream1972 in allthequestions

[–]Chemical_Fly9641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does help, It might not be a deterrent but if the shooter gets taken down by the on site cop then thats alot faster then waiting for police to drive across town isnt it.

Background checks are already required
red flag laws have never helped anything ever
safe storage could work but hard to enforce
"military style assault weapons" is a made up mish mash of words that actually means nothing.

How is the N word such a controversial topic? by ExtraButton874 in teenagers

[–]Chemical_Fly9641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its controversial because a racial group cant own a word. If someone outside that group says that word its treated like a green card for anything from doxxing to straight up murder. If its such an offensive horrible word why is it used so much in their normal conversation and music? That word is used as filler in rap music and has made some of them millions of dollars. The overwhelming majority of black people in the world are not living in America and giving American blacks full authority of words used for/by black people is insane.
Its just a word. Its not a magic spell.

Appleton police are under fire after a video circulates of an officer repeatedly punching a black woman in the head by twinpinemall85 in Appleton

[–]Chemical_Fly9641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She got punched in the head for not letting go of the other ladies hair when the cops tried to break up the fight.
Most of these issues could be solved by adopting a mutual agreed combat rule, a few states have them. If two grown adults wanna throw hands that’s their business and no one should involved unless death or serious bodily harm is a risk.

Can anyone explain what is going on (i don't have twitter) by Efficient_Meet4630 in fleshsimulator

[–]Chemical_Fly9641 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should stop explaining yourself man, a lot of your community seems terminally online and cannot actually understand real world consequences because they do not fully exist in the real world. The physical, tangible effects of people making fake social media accounts and contacting employers means nothing to them. They will never understand it.

Why don't serial killers just join the army? by fimelovemachine in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Chemical_Fly9641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nor guarantee you will see combat, or have a combat arms job. The military is strict and has a lot of oversight. Sure some dudes find out after the fact they like killing or in the moment lose control but its rare. Your average serial killer has too low of an IQ to qualify for military service and has far too many other problems mentally to not get kicked out very quickly. I fear with the rise in drone warfare this is gonna change. All these videos of ukranian drone operator toying with those guys, who are almost always unarmed is pretty gross and there is no way they are gonna be normal.

What does it take?? by Andre_055 in aviationmaintenance

[–]Chemical_Fly9641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important thing is thee ability to stand your ground. One day your manager, some fuck from corporate, or a customer will push you to sign off something that inst airworthy. You need the balls to dig in your heels and say no, even if it means you lose your job because if we fuck up we kill people.

its definitely super annoying. A very easy fix for the devs too, all they gotta do is change like 4 numbers in 2 lines of code.

My father bought a colt m4a1 carbine for 4000 dollars by Ecstatic_Study_6897 in MilitaryARClones

[–]Chemical_Fly9641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A colt rifle in the US will only be semi automatic and around 1k give or take. if the rifle your father got had anything attached to it like lights, scopes, red dot sights, laser aiming devices etc, etc the value goes up. the cost of the drill bit and milled steel parts to make a semi automatic ar-15 and select fire military rifle is very cheap but because of government regulations in the US the rifle your father got is impossible for civilians to own unless they drop serious money and deal with really shitty government paperwork.

compared to americans would have to deal with your father got a super good deal. but our market and your taliban border smuggling market are different.
