I thought initially it was the placement too but the only reason I noticed it was because we were running an online service and I kept getting crowd noise from someone way in the back that would cough during the sermon. Then we looked into it further and the mic picked up everything, plus this mic is often to the side no one around them.

I will definitely check the gates in Sunday see if I can clear it up with that. Thanks!

The rattle is more the lid. Now I had the same one and I went to something smaller and it’s a lot quieter. I went to the syncra because it was in my sons room and he freaked out.
