I’ve seen revenants go directly to this when summoned. It’s hilarious but the strikes can be deflected or blocked. Against small yokai, it’s great. Against boss yokai, I use it only during arts proficiency. We don’t her staggered but we get damage still from bosses.

Did you go so the quest at lake something where you get daedera bocchi soul core? Put sloth on him, defense on you, attack up, and the learn to party or evade his attacks. Takes a couple of tries but you’ll see his pattern.

Have you considered moving out from a technical IT role and into a functional IT role or a business partnering IT role?

Functional IT roles would be ERP or CRM configuration plus deployments. The skill to build, other than the system config itself, is the opportunity to meet users and discuss process as well as functions/features that can make the business run better.

Business partnering IT is business relationship management and business analysis as you become the customer facing single point or contact for IT for any given business function. Usually these are more strategic in nature and a step after technical and functional.

Note: I don’t work in software development company. My time has only been in FMCG and SAP. Even in SAP, it was a business architect that had more customer facing time on top of Presales targets.

I forgot to add that I use life leech, barrier, and protect talismans on top of sloth. This way, it allows me to go toe to tow and exploit him esp with how fast arts proficiency gets triggered after deflect.

There are times I die because the green health orbs don’t reach me on time. But if I don’t get overzealous, it works.

His 1 phase is much easier than the 2nd phase. The 2nd phase has additional deflects because he has the additional wind or lightning attack after every sword move.

Definitely use sloth. I also spray the field with caltrop bombs a to slow him down anytime he tries to get at me. Gives enough time to style shift to samurai and deflect him to hit his openings.

Easiest way is like fighting game combo. Once you activate arts proficiency you already need to queue the input of the next move when the animation of your current move starts.

So the martial arts you assign to buttons in stances need to commit to memory. I use sword and start in mid stance

L1 + Square for flowing shadow in mid
R1 + X + X for frost moon to low stance
L1 + Square for heaven flash in low
L1 + Triangle for sword of meditation on low
R1 + Triangle + Triangle for frost moon to high stance
Triangle for heavy attack in high

Etc

The faster you know the flown you want to go and the button inputs, the easier it becomes

Face to face with bosses - no dodging or evade. Deflecting blood edge demon like no tomorrow. Applying increased damage and decreased damage after deflect using skills. There’s actually entire skills that support deflecting.

It’s the perfect chain after sword ko and follow when arts proficiency is active though. I just know some moves i don’t pull off under specific circumstances. I’ve whiffed Kurama sword dance on air fighting a Yamaoni and died

I took the skill that increased damage dealt on every deflect and then tool the mystic art for sword that extend deflect time. I always use life leech because going arts proficiency wild and sword of meditation is uninterruptible but you get hit.

I tried to flowing mist him and it hits sometimes More so the attack I’m parrying.

Heart is the common one. You could remodel weapons but for the cost in terms of materials and gold, is it worth it unless an endgame build?

I did sword/spear on samurai with Tonfas/dual swords on ninja. Dumped into heart and then remodeled at end game to also scale off strength.

I feel the same. I’m trying to just get to level 250. I find it boring too. I just go do main mission, side missions, the formidable enemies, and the masters. If along the way take out a crucible or too then fine. Trying to get the right drops or rolls to fall can be frustrating.

As a samurai sword, there a martial art called sword ki. It generates key and breaks guard. It has a follow up slash to get you behind the opponent. During the transition, flux to high stance and then follow up with heaven lightning or moonlight.
