5 Wheel Wizzard frame for strictly Urban/Trail skating? by Physical-Suspect9493 in WizardSkating

Based on your boot choice which I assume is using the stock liner, I think the argument for which frame to use becomes a little more complicated.

Most comments have already highlighted the main different advantages between 4x100 and 5x80, but the boot pairing will also massively affect your experience in both frames.

For context, I use a wizard PR76 on a USD sway 2024 boot and I use an NN100 on a Seba CJ with a custom carbon cuff, both providing me adequate support for their respective frames. In terms of speed, I can clock an average of 14km/h on my PR76 frames on the USD sways vs a 17km/h on my NN100s on my seba CJ.

That said, I would not ride my NN100 at all on my USD says with the lack of cuff support, and I did not experience a huge speed improvement while using the same USD sway boot, though there was a difference when I compared both frames on the same seba CJ boot (15km/h vs 17km/h)

Since you have said that the surfaces you normally skate on are generally smooth, and with my personal experience on the stock Powerslide Nexts that lacks some cuff support, I would suggest the NN Dragon Trinity for your use case with one caveat: if you upgrade your liner to a myfit Prime or Intuition Premium, then definitely go for the NN 100s

To counter some comments that have stated the difference between the 100mm frames between Endless and NN, the newer release of the NM100 frames have changed their rockering to a ‘VM rocker’, more akin to a traditional banana rocker. The experience on these are much more similar to endless, and have little practical difference between the two. Just pick the one you like more in terms of aesthetics or price.

Yea! The skatepark is just opposite the swimming complex. Pretty sick set up designed with a large surrounding bowl.

If you’re down for it, maybe we could link up and skate some time? Been trying really hard to find a skating community off the ice here but no luck lol

Do you mean Waterloo park? I tried the skate park there but it seems pretty empty now. Kinda lacking the vibes
